Position Overview
Ralph Lauren is seeking a Senior Capital Planning Analyst responsible for providing financial and business support for the Global Capital Planning team. The ideal candidate will serve as system administrator for the SAP and Hyperion capital planning modules. Along with assisting all regions with completed Capital Appropriation Requests (CAR) and project creation and set up, responsibilities will include budgeting, analysis, adhoc reporting, compliance monitoring, and review of IT department CARs.

- Manage global funnel of CAR submissions through capital planning inbox
- Serve as capital planning systems administrator including project set-up, updating project phases (e.g., Release, TECO, Close), and loading budget adjustments
- Assist with reconciliation of monthly actuals
- Complete system lock of annual plan, monthly forecasts and monthly actuals in SAP
- Assist with year-end activities in SAP
- Capital Budgeting / Long-Range Capital Plan: Participates in building capital budgets, compiling submissions from business partners, and analyzing variances vs. prior years and prior periods
- Support and test all new capital features in SAP and Hyperion
- Manage annual updates and as-needed revisions to CAR templates
- Verify CAR submissions vs. Grants of Authority requirements
Experience, Skills & Knowledge
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Experience with Hyperion Essbase strongly preferred
- Experience with G/L systems (SAP a plus)
- Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills are required
- Agile learner, able to quickly assimilate relationships between variables under analysis
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, including deadline-sensitive priorities
- Flexibility to reprioritize to meet changing needs in a fast-paced work environment
- Self-motivated/self-starter able to work independently to resolve problems with limited information
- Team player possessing a strong work ethic
