Position Overview

Associate Designer – Materials, Handbags and Accessories

Associate Designer for the Lauren brand: eager, artistic designer with material knowledge and experience who can contribute to the design team creatively while helping to maintain and track the ongoing development throughout every season.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and propose new novelty materials and animations
  • Set up and maintain seasonal line sheets of material development
  • Work closely with Product Development to keep development process moving
  • Assist in coordination of materials/colors/animation techniques between Accessories and Footwear
  • Assist in coordination of print and color tiebacks with RTW team
  • Create logo and seasonal artworks on Illustrator and Photoshop
  • CAD and render new materializations and animations
  • Assist in meeting prep relating to leathers, materials and animations.
  • Develop and maintain hardware library.

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in accessory or footwear design
  • Knowledge of leather and non-leather materials
  • Proficient in Photoshop
  • Proficient in Illustrator
  • Organizational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to time manage
