Position Overview

The Senior Specialist in Supplier Enablement plays a pivotal role in optimizing supplier manufacturing processes and enhancing capabilities under the guidance of the Regional Manager of Supplier Enablement. The primary purpose of this role is to lead the onboarding and enablement of suppliers-factory by ensuring high-level compliance with required guidelines by using an in-depth understanding of quality management systems, product safety, SOPs and industrial engineering followed by a systematic approach on driving corrective actions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supplier Onboarding: Lead/oversite the onboarding process for new suppliers-factories ensuring compliance with quality and ethical standards specific to apparel manufacturing. 
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers to promote collaboration, manage expectations, and address any issues during onboarding and ongoing engagement.
  • Continuous Improvement: Support suppliers to drive efficiency and a right-first-time approach through using lean methodology and industrial engineering knowledge/concepts. 
  • Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to streamline supplier onboarding and enablement processes to enhance efficiency and reduce lead times.
  • Training and Support: Provide comprehensive training and ongoing support to suppliers on corrective and preventive action plans.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive supplier enablement strategies aligned with business goals. 
  • Project Management: Manage / Implement / Drive regional as well as global project
  •  initiatives to enable the suppliers as well as internal stakeholders.

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to implement supplier enablement strategies that align with fashion brand goals and industry trends.
  • Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to addressing challenges related to supplier onboarding and integration with the PDCA approach.
  • Ability to work independently, detail-oriented and organized, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
  • Quick learner, Result-oriented and willing to adapt the change with a positive mind.
  • Willing to travel in the country and out of the country. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering / Textile Engineering / Business Administration, or a related field. (Master’s degree preferred)
  • Proven 5 to 8 years of experience in implementing or driving lean manufacturing/manufacturing excellence / industrial engineering/supplier enablement, within the fashion brands and apparel industry or related industries.
  • A certificate from a reputed institute on Lean Six Sigma or equivalent will be an added advantage. 
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills (English & Local), with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at various levels.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize supplier relationships and processes.
  • Should have Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word/Excell / PPT / Visio etc.) and Power BI / MS strategy will be an added advantage.
