Position Overview

Responsible for execution of strategic sourcing and category management activities for assigned spend categories (Stores Architecture and Design). As a part of RLC’s Strategic Sourcing practice, the Manager will lead in facilitating requirements gathering, conducting research, and data analysis to facilitate the implementation of value creation opportunities. The manager interacts and works closely with project teams and manages day-to-day activities for assigned projects and initiatives. Reports to the Senior Director, Procurement. Experience in analysis, sourcing & procurement for the Store Development /Architecture and Design category as well as a desire to learn, are essential. This role is based in Nutley, NJ, but will have an in-office ask of 2 days from the New Office (Hudson Yards)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

· Develop category strategy and approach in accordance with overall strategy of Global Procurement including:

o Development of Category-Specific Strategies with focus on Architecture and Design

o Development of Key Stakeholder Relationships in an area with no previous Procurement involvement

o Aligning category strategy to stakeholder prioritization and developing category road map

o Prioritization and Planning of Strategic Sourcing Initiatives

o Identification of Global vs Region-Specific Opportunities

o Management of Project Timelines

o Support management of inventory on hand

· Lead execution of Strategic Sourcing events in accordance with Ralph Lauren sourcing methodology including:

o Development of Project Baselines and Spend Profiles

o Development of Industry & Vendor Profiles

o Development of RF(x) Documents

o Prepare and Lead Vendor Negotiations

o Development and Implementation of Supply Agreements

· Provide support for Global Procurement initiatives as required:

o Spend Analytics and Assessment

o Procurement Performance Reporting and Savings

o Procurement Policy and Process Compliance

o Coordination of Financial Capture of Sourcing Outcomes

o Supplier Relationship Management

· Oversight of Strategic Sourcing Analysts’ day-to-day activities including:

o Strategic Sourcing Support

o Category and Vendor Management

o Financial Analysis and Reporting

Advanced Microsoft Office Suite--Word, Excel, PowerPoint (Project a plus)

Experience/Education:

Store Development/ Architecture and Design category-specific Strategic Sourcing experience preferred
Experience leading RF(x) events required – experience with Workday/ Scout e-sourcing preferred
Professional certifications are an asset (APICS, CPIM, NAPM etc.)
ERP knowledge preferred; SAP experience an asset
