Position Overview

Our Integrated Business Planning team is embarking on a transformative journey to revolutionize demand planning across Ralph Lauren’s diverse portfolio of brands and product categories. As the Global Demand Planning Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of how we anticipate, analyze, and respond to market demand—ensuring that Ralph Lauren remains at the forefront of innovation and consumer engagement worldwide.

In this newly created position, you will spearhead the development and execution of a best-in-class Long Range Demand Plan (LRDP) and forecasting strategy, empowering the organization with the insights needed to make strategic decisions on capacity, product, and supply planning. Your leadership will be instrumental in enhancing business agility, resilience, and operational excellence in an ever-evolving global marketplace.

Leading a high-performing team, you will drive improvements in forecast accuracy, implement cutting-edge planning methodologies, and establish seamless integration between demand projections and corporate strategy. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The Global Demand Planning Lead plays a critical role in shaping the company’s planning strategy and execution by:

Developing and Optimizing Forecasting Capabilities:

  • Implementing advanced statistical forecasting algorithms and methodologies.
  • Continuously refining forecasting processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

Driving Global Collaboration & Forecast Alignment:

  • Demonstrating an enterprise mindset while partnering with regional teams across the globe (NA, EMEA, & APAC) to gather key business drivers and ensure enriched demand forecasts.
  • Aligning the Long-Range Demand Plan (LRDP) with corporate strategy by working closely with regional leadership to assess the need for strategic overrides.
  • Evaluating industry trends, growth rates, and demand drivers to inform long-term demand forecasting strategies.

Enhancing Forecast Accuracy & Continuous Improvement:

  • Identifying opportunities for forecast accuracy improvement through data-driven insights and innovative problem-solving.
  • Leading the adoption of future-state global processes, tools, and best practices to enhance demand planning capabilities.
  • Supporting the implementation of new demand planning tools and processes, ensuring seamless integration and optimization.

Stakeholder Engagement & Change Leadership:

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders to drive alignment and adoption of demand planning insights.
  • Acting as a Change Champion, proactively driving transformation in forecasting methodologies, tools, and ways of working.
  • Regularly presenting insights, progress, and recommendations to senior leadership.

Leadership & Team Development:

·       Leading with vision and purpose, ensuring high team performance, and developing key competencies within the demand planning function.


Experience, Skills & Knowledge

  • Business, Supply Chain Management, Statistics, Economics, or a related field preferred
  • 5+ years of experience demonstrating progressive responsibilities in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain analytics in the apparel or consumer goods industry, is preferred.
  • Proven track record of working with statistical forecasting models and demand planning tools in a complex, multi-region environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft suite (specifically Excel), statistical forecasting tools, and data analytics platforms (e.g., Python, R, or Power BI is a plus).
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and demand planning software (e.g., Kinaxis, Anaplan, Blue Yonder, o9 Solutions).
  • Ability to analyze large datasets, identify key trends, and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Solid understanding of retail operations, merchandising, and supply chain planning within a fast-paced global environment.
  • Strong ability to balance statistical analysis with business judgment to drive demand planning accuracy and strategic decision-making.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Ability to navigate complexity and uncertainty, adapting to shifting market conditions and business needs.
  • Demonstrated success in driving consensus across multiple departments and geographies.
