Position Overview

The Assistant Product Manager for Home Textiles will provide support to the product development team by assisting with cost management, timeline tracking, and development coordination. This role ensures smooth workflow of day-to-day activities while maintaining accurate documentation and communication across teams.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for gathering product development costing and MOQ requirements from vendors for analysis and negotiation
  • Lead weekly line status meetings to address program updates, outstanding issues, & follow up on action items
  •     Monitor development calendar and flag timeline risks to cross functional teams
  •     Communicate daily with overseas offices & vendors regarding development needs and timeline adherence
  •     Support the technical design team with documentation needs and timeline tracking
  •      Manage showroom sample process including PO generation and delivery tracking
  •      Update product data and costing in GFE+
  •      Input, update & finalize all product details in FlexPLM
  •      Create and distribute seasonal time and action calendars. 
  •      Prepare materials for development and costing meetings
  •      Responsible to work with the sustainability team to gather required certificates from our vendors and enforce Ralph Lauren’s sustainability requirements
  • Work with production teams to prepare & finalize buy quantities & costing details for seasonal launch orders 

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

  • 1-2 years of experience in product development, preferably in home textiles or soft goods
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to maintain tracking systems
  • Excellent communication skills and team-oriented mindset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel is required
  • Experience with FlexPLM and GFE software is a plus
  • Experience in creating tech packs & understanding sewing construction of home products is a plus
