Position Overview

As an SFCC  Developer, this role will be instrumental in delivering digital ecommerce solutions for the Ralph Lauren US, EU and APAC using Salesforce Commerce Cloud platform. 

Purpose & Scope:  
Based in Bengaluru, India this Developer  role will be working in partnership with Global Digital teams leveraging strong technology & analytical skills to enable the development, testing, maintenance & operations of Ralph Lauren US, EU and APAC storefronts on Salesforce Commerce Cloud (Demandware).  
Successful candidates will also be able to follow a disciplined approach (Agile & DevOps) in managing work & communicating effectively and following establis.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Salesforce Commerce Cloud: 
Building cross-browser, cross-device compatible pages adhering to industry best practices. 
Developing templates and content slots using ISML, JavaScript/jQuery, HTML, XML, CSS, AJAX and integrate with Pipelines/Controllers on Salesforce Commerce Cloud (Demandware) platform. 
Maintaining existing code and assets and troubleshooting bugs within a complex, global code base. 
Provide level of effort for all projects, as well as provide direction on scope and determine overall feasibility. 
Create and document development specifications and work completed 
Active participation through all phases of the development lifecycle 
Provide status updates and communication on projects to e-commerce business users and other stakeholders. 
Drive web development initiatives to continually enhance and optimize e-commerce infrastructure. 

Proactively build relationships by being solution oriented and focused on commitments/deliverables. 
Network with internal and external customers to identify opportunities to improve Storefront solutions through better usage of existing system functionality, development of new enhancements, and/or adaptation of better business processes. 
Production support processes: 
Technology Operations: Co-lead SFCC operational process improvements to improve overall solution to support the production operations teams. 

DevOps: Leverage leading design & operational practices to solve critical problems and identify opportunities to develop and maintain core SFCC  Storefront solutions. 

Operational Metrics: Co-Lead with support from operations teams to establish Technology level SLAs, OLAs, milestones and check points to track and improve performance of systems and/or applications. 

Flexibility to support US time zone when need to partner with the global team. 

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

Multiple years of experience as a frontend developer. 
Sound knowledge and experience on Salesforce Commerce Cloud (Demandware) Sitegenesis/SFRA framework and standard platform capabilities. 
Knowledge on System/Custom objects, creating cartridges to integrate with 3rd party APIs and Services. 
Knowledge on programming best practices like collective code ownership and test driven development is a plus. 
Mastery of HTML5, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript; Cross-browser compatibility, W3C compatibility 
Familiarity with code repository systems (SVN, Git) 
Responsive design experience (or similar mobile and tablet work) 
Experience converting and/or slicing PSDs to CSS (or similar) 
Experience with standard JavaScript Frameworks/APIs such as Angular/jQuery/React is a plus. 
Understanding of and experience with mobile and web based design constraints, editors, browser platforms and their differences. 
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming. 
Demonstrated flexibility and collaboration in fast-paced production environment. 
Ability to provide insight, thoughts and contribute feedback to the team on various projects from a technical perspective. 
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to partner with stakeholders inside and outside of IT as well as vendors and other external entities. 
Adaptability to pick up and work without supervision. 
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, Self-directed and able to juggle multiple priorities and adapt to a changing technology environment.
