Position Overview
Protect the company’s assets to include its facilities, product, and the well-being of its associates.
Provide support to all areas of the business with the highest level of customer service.
Observe the daily operations of the facility to detect, mitigate, and report violations of company policies to include, but not limited to, theft, safety, and property risks. Understand and enforce company policies and procedures.
Monitor and control the access of all associates, contractors, and guests throughout the premises.
Maintain a working knowledge of warehouse operations in order to conduct and report shortage audits.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Utilize Closed Circuit Television System
Operate and monitor the facility burglary alarm systems. Investigate alarms and report findings.
Operate and monitor the facility fire alarm systems. Investigate alarms and report findings.
Perform required audits of life safety systems. Issue red tag impairments and hot work permits.
Utilize PINC Yard Management System to process inbound and outbound trailers. Maintain truck yard security, paperwork, and trailer seals per standard operating procedures.
Monitor Domestic and International loads via GPS, documenting and reporting discrepancies to appropriate management per standard operating procedure.
Maintain a working knowledge of the facility layout to include machinery shut-offs, electrical panels, domestic water supply shut-offs, and sprinkler riser valves.
Document incidents and record statements as needed.
Ability to travel to various sites in the NC Campus to work various posts as needed and to adjust schedule to accommodate for business needs.
Respond to emergency events (medical, weather, etc.) as needed.
Experience, Skills & Knowledge
Associate should have prior customer service, security, loss prevention or comparable experience.
Associate should be able to read, write, and perform high school math.
Associate should be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, PKMS, and RF / Gladiator usage.
Ability to do repetitive tasks that require consistent judgment
Ability to control potential violent and stressful situation.
Ability to collect facts and document findings verbally and in written form.
Work primarily in a both climate and not climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. Work in an outdoor environment. Sedentary, sitting, walking, occasional lifting (overhead, waist level) from floor, bending, frequent near vision use for reading and computer use.
