Position Overview

The business growth strategy associate will be instrumental in crafting compelling and highly-visual presentations to support our business strategy and business performance. Our scope covers all brands and channels for Europe, Middle East, Africa, LatAm and South East Asia. 

The ideal candidate will have strong visual presentation & storytelling skills with an excellent command of written English, combined with strategic and critical thinking skills. As part of a small but highly engaged team with a broad scope, this newly-created role calls for an autonomous individual with a learning & growth mindset who wishes to take part in shaping and communicating the strategy of a leading lifestyle luxury company. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Visual communication & design: 

  • Create comprehensive Powerpoint presentations for diverse purposes (strategy formulation, leadership meetings, project summaries, business reviews, etc.)
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requierments, storyboard presentations and ensure alignment of data vizualization with the intended messages
  • Enhance and finesse existing decks or combine slides coming from other teams into one seamless presentation 
  • Utilize various data vizualization techniques (charts, graphs, infographics) and other visual elements to effectively convey messages and illustrate data-driven narratives 
  • Summarize information and ideas into short and impactful bullet points 
  • Distill key insights and macro/micro-trends to further enhance storytelling 
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, clarity and adherence to brand guidelines 
  • Review and improve visual identity of all outputs from the X-brand assortment & business growth strategy team (reports, dashboards, newsletters, etc.) to support team's identity and reach

The above constitutes the primary scope of this role. Depending on the candidate's skillset and interest, and given the cyclical nature of presentation deadlines, the business growth strategy associate may also take an active role in other team activities, such as: 

  • Compiling strategic opportunities recommendations based on societal trends, business performance insights, macro-economic trends and competitor analysis 
  • Contributing to weekly industry insights newsletter content and expanding team's reach in distilling actionable research content 
  • Project management: manage exploration and follow-through of short-term projects 
  • Score-card maintenance, to track performance or strategic initiatives against key performance indicators 
  • Collaboration within the team: support during peak periods, participating in brainstorming sessions, participation in projects under the leadership of other team members, back-up during absences, etc. 

Experience, Skills, and Knowledge

  • Self-starter with a creative approach to problem-solving 
  • Strategic and critical thinker with good business acumen
  • Passion for the fashion and broader lifestyle industries
  • Proficient in Microsoft Powerpoint with a strong eye for design and visual composition, combined with an acute attention to detail (data accuracy, typos, formatting, typography...)
  • Impeccable command of written English is mandatory 
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills to craft strong strategic arguments and recommendations 
  • Ability to work collaboratively and network internally, manage tight deadlines and adapt to changing project requirements 
  • Intermediate command of Excel to work autonomously with large data sets
