Ralph od samego początku wierzył, że jego kolekcje musiały „żyć” w swoim własnym świecie, dlatego w 1969 roku opracował pierwszą koncepcję sklepu w sklepie – niezależnego sklepu Polo znajdującego się w domu towarowym Bloomingdale’s w Nowym Jorku. Dziś firma ma dwie główne marki – oraz wolnostojące sklepy w domach towarowych w ponad 80 krajach na całym świecie.
