Position Overview
The Assistant Merchandiser is responsible for day-to-day merchandise activities to support the category merchants. They are responsible for weekly meeting documentation, system and report creation, and line opening materials/tracking. Merchant teams play a key role in all major events throughout the process (ie. design final, adoptions, line opening & costing).
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Create and Maintain assortment data accurately in VIBE/GFE platform, from inception through the life cycle
- Timely communication of Change Controls to cross functional teams and regions
- Work closely with design and fabric teams to ensure ministats are updated accurately and in a timely fashion
- Attend line status meetings, proto and line reviews, managing to changes and next steps
- Attend design meetings for product category
- Ensure accurate sample ordering and sample accuracy for product category
- Assist in meeting preparation and document maintenance for all major milestone meetings
Experience, Skills & Knowledge
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Some merchandising experience preferred
- Strong communication, interpersonal & teamwork skills
- Contribute to a positive, solution-oriented and progressive work environment promoting teamwork
- Highly organized, detail oriented & accurate
- Strong analytical skills
- Resourceful, efficient and takes initiative
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
