Position Overview
The Senior Product Management Associate will partner with Lead/Head to create strategies to improve productivity and
ef f iciency in the production ordering process. They will collaborate across teams in partnership with regional buying
of f ices. Also monitor existing processes and analyze ef fectiveness. The Senior Product Management Associate will
report to the Head of Product Management for Handbags and SLGs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Execute and drive processes in Production Order Management with focus on Strategic Planning. Gain alignment
across teams & Regional Buying Of f ices to ensure seamless ordering. Focus on partnership and collaboration with
team members.
• Drive End to End BSR & Replenishment ordering. Maintain clear communication across Regional Buying Of f ices to
coordinate and align teams to help secure on time deliveries. Partner with team to optimize lead times across product
categories and manage calendar milestones. Inform manager of any opportunities to shorten lead times and drive
processes.
• Embed with teams to help drive PIR Process across the business. Tackle any ambiguous factory allocation in
partnership with team members; Ensure costing data entry is complete for timely order placement
• Identify and escalate risks to on time production; Ensure correct delay code is entered systematically. Work toward
KPI reporting specif ic to on-time deliveries while implementing processes around escalation.
• Troubleshoot errors in order placement; Focus on enforcing clear policies and procedures to help guarantee
seamless process around future buys; Input and maintain system data ensuring accuracy, Connect and collaborate
with key players in ordering process to problem-solve and seek solutions
• Identify knowledge gaps in both Production and Pre-Production to learn continuously; Seek out resources within RL
Learning Portal; Utilize opportunities for Systems Trainings to implement new ways of working and drive results
• Partner with team members to attend key milestone meetings for optimal alignment and enhance connection to the
products. Ex: Sample Handof f and Long Lead Time Reviews; Attend MOQ calls to gain insight to ordering process;
Market Sample receipts and showroom setups, to anticipate f inal order needs to help trouble shoot
Experience, Skills & Knowledge
Product development or production related experience preferred. Full product life cycle, f rom design vision to
production ready utilizing technical product knowledge and in-depth understanding of all product components (fabric,
trim, print, etc.)
• Strong excel skills a must ( I.E. VLookUp, Pivots,etc)
• Be a subject matter expert (SME) in a specif ic product category (i.e., accessories – includes experience in product
development, product engineering or production
• Proven ability to optimize production outcomes through understanding the product manufacturing process, factory
capabilities & capacity, machinery capability, and liability management. Factory visits, a plus.
• Strong communication, inf luencing and cross-functional team collaboration skills; ability to work closely with
Commercial, Merchandising, Operations and Design Teams, as well as Sourcing Of f ices
• Proven ability to quickly pivot and problem solve utilizing innovative solutions .
• Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail and specif ic product information.
• Ability to navigate and troubleshoot in systems.
• Demonstrates strong ability to manage time and prioritize ef fectively.
• Strong computer skills; Excel (a must), Microsof t Of f ice, and PLM
