Position Overview
Ralph Lauren Corporation seeks an experienced functional/technical business professional to lead SAP and EDI business operations within our Integrated Services division. This position oversees both SAP Support teams and EDI functions, serving as the primary business owner for Order to Cash SAP functional processes and EDI functionality and partnerships in North America. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on functional/technical expertise to deliver best-in-class service to Ralph Lauren business partners and customers. This position offers an opportunity to join a diverse and ambitious team with broad end-to-end responsibilities, from initial customer onboarding through EDI transactions, Digital Commerce and Financial Billing. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Operations Management:
- Lead and manage SAP and EDI Business Support teams and functions
- Drive operational excellence through SAP Order-to-Cash business support
- Oversee EDI Customer configurations and ERP file processing
- Develop and execute strategic customer technology partnerships
- Establish and maintain service level agreements (SLAs)
- Provide day-to-day operational leadership for Integrated Services teams
- Drive year-over-year process improvements across SAP Order To Cash functions and EDI processes.
Technical Operations & Process Management:
- EDI partnerships and management: Oversee end-to-end customer onboarding, from requirements gathering through implementation
- Manage SAP OTC User Security and compliance with audit requirements
- Oversee, monitor and manage all SAP OTC inbound/outbound transactions and systemic processes (workflows, batch jobs) with a strong oversight of iDoc management -- including exception management and resolution
- Oversee the configuration & maintenance of SAP custom tables and interfaces to deliver operational excellence
- Oversee UPC Management for North America
- Develop and maintain expertise in EDI documents and version controls (846, 850, 855, 860, 810, 940, 943, 945)
- Support month-end processing and data validation
Business Partnership & Change Management:
- Establish and manage EDI partnerships with internal/external customers
- Lead process improvement initiatives and strategic customer technology partnerships
- Translate business opportunities into detailed requirements
- Develop and execute test plans and business acceptance testing
- Represent Ralph Lauren in customer-facing activities and industry trade meetings
- Maintain strong cross-functional relationships across the organization (Acct Services, Finance, Technical EDI team, IT, Audit, etc …)
Experience, Skills & Knowledge
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the consumer goods industry
- 3-4 years of management experience in a business functional role
- Proven track record in AFS solutions and EDI program management
- Strong project management experience
Technical Expertise:
- Expert knowledge of SAP Order-to-Cash processes and iDoc structures
- Comprehensive understanding of EDI standards, protocols, and integration methods
· Deep understanding of EDI standards (ANSI X12, EDIFACT), protocols (AS2, FTP/SFTP, VAN), and tools.
- Proficiency in EDI VANs and translation platforms (GXS/OpenText; Trustedlink preferred)
- Hands-on experience with EDI platforms (SPS Commerce, TrueCommerce, etc …)
- Experience with various WMS solutions (Manhattan preferred)
- Working knowledge of B2B digital commerce integrations (strongly preferred)
- SAP ECC (strongly preferred) or S/4 HANA experience (desired)
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues
