Position Overview

As part of the Product Management team, you will manage the Product Development and Production (full product life cycle) for Men’s & RLCW Polo Brands Woven categories. You will partner with the Design, Merchandising, Technical Design, and Raw Materials Teams, as well as Sourcing Offices, Factories & Mills to ensure the integrity of product from salesman sample to bulk production. 

The Product Management Manger will lead the development and execution of the product strategy for the brand to create best overall value in terms of product, price, lead-time, and quality.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

·            Participate in Board Review with Design and Merchandising to establish product pipeline and TD track (high/medium/low touch)

·            Own the BOM set up and maintenance in PLM. Update BOM for showroom samples (post-proto approval) through stock approval/OK to buy/production ready.

·            Lead meeting with regional sourcing offices to handoff seasonal line sheets and walk through wash and overall product execution expectations and sample timing.

·            Lead weekly WIP meetings.

·            Ensure sales samples are on time and checked in for seasonal line review meetings.

·            Partner with Design on all design approvals and comments.

·            Communicate with vendors and suppliers to address development and resolve production issues.

·            Work with sourcing offices to optimize and shorten production lead times + assist with allocation and capacity planning.

·            Manage costing activities based on analysis of past production strategies; provide upfront visibility to component costs that negatively impact margin goals prior to seasonal adoption.

·            Present in seasonal costing meetings to inform cross functional team of YOY AUC Improvement and address any costing concerns as well as offer options for cost improvements.

·            Oversee weekly buys in GFE systems and follow up with sourcing offices for PO issuances.

·            Attend weekly fittings to ensure fit approvals are approved to meet delivery deadlines. 

·            Drive process improvements and deliver on KPIs (BOM completeness and Cost goal tracker)

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

 
  •  Experience in production and product development – full product life cycle, from design vision to production ready.
  • Technical knowledge of product components fabrics + trim.
  • Subject Matter Expert in Woven Categories -specifically woven shirts/ headwear/ swimwear. 
  • Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize workload for multiple categories to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Self-sufficient; self-starter with the ability to quickly learn and pivot as needed.
  • Highly collaborative and influential with cross functional partners – design, tech, regional buying, sourcing offices.
  • Ability to quickly identify and act on opportunities for the brand.
  • Strong computer skills; advanced in Excel, Outlook, FlexPLM, SAP, GFE+.
