Position Overview

·       Ralph Lauren seeks an experienced ERP Program Manager to Lead the ERP+ PMO team for Ralph Lauren’s Next Generation Transformation (NGT), where the core operating systems of the company (SAP, Island Pacific and Microsoft D365) will be replaced with a common Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) SAP S/4 HANA. This program is scheduled to run for at least 4 years and this role is expected to manage all phases of the program through the global deployment across all regions. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the ERP program is run efficiently to deliver the project on time and on budget, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and holding SI and other partners accountable.

·       The program is a critical enabler of Ralph Lauren’s digital operating model, aimed at increasing agility, enabling better decision-making through data, and simplifying the technology landscape globally.

·       The ideal candidate will be a proactive PM professional with the ability to manage large complex projects and guide / lead organizations to deliver a transformational project and its priorities. This position requires strong foundational knowledge of project management practices, demonstrated experience delivering significant projects, and experience navigating complex organizations and leading and developing teams.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Program Planning and Management

·       Set PMO structure and manage overlapping initiative dependencies and interdependencies with other NGT and RL initiatives

·       Partner with SI PMO to establish, mobilize, and run agreed governance model, as well as the processes and tools required 

·       Lead the team to develop and maintain project timelines, budgets, and resource plans

·       Lead the team to proactively track, analyze and resolve issues to keep project on time and on budget

·       Proactively identify and address project risks and opportunities

·       Oversee compliance with agreed program management methods and controls while helping find delivery efficiencies for Workstream leads

Change Management

·       Partner with Change Management Lead to facilitate organizational change, including incorporating training and communication plans into the program to ensure smooth adoption of the new SAP S/4 HANA system, with special focus on role redesign, business readiness, and executive sponsorship


Data Migration

·       Oversee the data migration process, ensuring that data is accurately and securely transferred from legacy systems to the new SAP S/4 HANA system.  Incorporate the planning, execution and validation of data migration activities into the program plan to ensure data integrity and minimize disruption to business operations. Ensure data governance, quality, and compliance standards are embedded in migration activities, in collaboration with data owners and IT security teams

Performance Metrics

·       Partner with the SI to set and track performance metrics to measure success of the implementation. This includes defining key performance indicators, monitoring progress against the metrics, and making data-driven decisions to ensure the project stays on track and delivers the expected benefits. Support benefits realization tracking post-implementation, linking technical delivery to financial and operational KPIs

Post-Implementation Support

·       Plan and manage post-implementation support to address any issues that arise after system goes live.  This includes establishing a support structure, providing on-going training and support to users, and ensuring that any problems are quickly identified and resolved to maintain system performance and user satisfaction. Define and implement a hypercare model to stabilize the system and drive issue resolution in collaboration with IT and business teams

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

·       Oversee stakeholder management, including status reporting regarding scope, schedule, and financials

·       Manage SAP consulting partners and performance – driving accountability to deliver to expectations

·       Engage with Executive Leadership as necessary to escalate key risks/issues and to learn of new guidance to be shared with the partner teams

·       Advise Executive Leadership of readiness for program to move through key stage gates

·       Build and manage relationships across global functional leads (e.g., Finance, Supply Chain, Merchandising) to ensure business alignment)

·       Lead and develop RL PMO team to drive successful project

Processes and Budget Management

·       Budget responsibility – ensuring project activities are in line with expected budget / forecast

·       Lead and oversee project management framework and governance structure to keep project on time and on budget in an effective and organized way

·       Ensure alignment and transparency across Finance, Change Management, and Value Realization teams through integrated tracking and reporting

Technical Expertise

·       Possessing a strong understanding of SAP program delivery, systems and their functionalities to aid in delivery.

·       Partner with team to analyze business processes and identify areas for improvement through the SAP implementation.


Experience, Skills & Knowledge

·       Experience within a vertically integrated retail environment; fashion apparel experience is highly desirable. Has proven experience in managing multiple third parties to budget and timescales

·       Exceptional written and oral communication skills. Must be adept at translating complex concepts into actionable plans.

·       Ability to confidently engage with and influence senior executives.

·       Strong analytical skills: Leverages data to make strategic decisions. Pragmatic, a problem solver, thrives under pressure, and excels at multitasking. Ability to make decisive and timely decisions while acting with authority.

·       Experience managing complex ERP transformations in both waterfall and agile/hybrid delivery models

·       Demonstrated ability to operate in matrixed global organizations with competing priorities and multiple time zones

·       Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, and modern integration platforms is a plus

·       Pragmatic, a problem solver, thrives under pressure, and excels at multitasking. Ability to make decisive and timely decisions while acting with authority

·       Strong strategic vision but is also comfortable taking a hands-on approach to achieve results.

·       Can be based in UK/CH/NY/NJ
