Position Overview

*Role based in Central region*

The Regional In-Store Marketing Coordinator is responsible for executing and coming up with ideas to support the strategic execution of Ralph Lauren – North America marketing collateral and strategy with a Central region focus. This individual is accountable for contributing to marketing programs that generate profit, drive traffic, meet both the region’s financial and marketing goals and differentiate the brand within the channel to deliver a best-in-class customer experience.  The coordinator is responsible for fostering productive cross-functional relationships with internal partners that help build and execute national marketing campaigns. In partnership with the corporate marketing lead, brand presentation, merchandising, store operations and store teams across region; campaigns will need to be seamlessly executed with continuity.  Teamwork, leadership, process, relationship management and effective communication, as well as attention to detail, are critical aspects of this position's responsibilities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Optimize Customer Engagement

 

·       Research and present insights about industry landscape, competitive activity and innovational trends

·       Partner with corporate marketing lead to ensure that creative, programs and signage align with 360 strategies from a marketing campaign, brand presentation and merchandising perspective

·       Travel and support weekend initiatives as necessary

·       Establish & manage relationships with regional contacts; ensuring branded content and regional campaigns and programs are accurately represented in stores

·       Maintain ongoing market knowledge and initiatives happening around their regional focus; reporting back and sharing this information with corporate lead

·       Collecting data and information to provide ideas and marketing concepts to drive market business

 

 Strategic Focus

 

·       Partner with corporate lead to develop monthly/quarterly/annual marketing strategies for regional marketing campaigns; ensure alignment with other marketing initiatives including timing, format and content

·       Execute the national brand strategy with regional focus by store within region

·       Partner with marketing lead to aggregate insights to further evolve creative and regional program strategies

·       Support all regional in-store marketing projects from concept development through execution with direction from corporate lead

·       Execute In-store marketing initiatives for all new store openings/renovations/activations

·       Report on a weekly basis that creative represents product offerings by store within region 

·       Meet with cross-functional team to review business results against projections and plans to inform future decisions

·       Support financial strategies by utilizing historical performance, current trend analysis, market research and cross-functional feedback in partnership with corporate lead

 

Process Planning and Communication

 

·       Maintenance of daily/weekly tracking of business/creative results; understands impact of marketing programs to NA-Marketing business and communicate findings contributes to weekly, quarterly, and yearly regional marketing hindsight documents

·       Develops weekly communication to the corporate team regarding applicable marketing campaigns and programs

·       Build and maintain continuous dialogue with corporate marketing lead to align campaign synergies

·       For all initiatives, ensure resources are in place, budgets are optimized, and projects are managed efficiently, flawlessly and on time; partner with corporate lead and cross functional/regional peers

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

·        Computer proficiency (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); ability or aptitude to learn technical applications quickly

·        Bachelor’s (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or equivalent a plus

·        3+ years experience in retail field and stores.

·        Experience in creative, visuals or merchandising a plus

·        PFS and RLS store experience a plus

·        Weekend hours and travel required
