Position Overview
The Ralph Lauren E-Commerce Merchandising Operations team is looking for an enthusiastic, data-driven leader focused on building a world-class app experience through excellence in product data management and systems flows.
The Merchandising Operations App Manager will oversee Ralph Lauren’s product assortment on the app, ensuring every product within the assortment flows seamlessly, complete with accurate customer facing and back-end attribution, best-in-class, differentiated merchandising, and more. This highly collaborative role will work with many specialized teams, including Product Management, Customer Experience, Technology, Analytics, Content, Buying, Digital Operations, Product Copy and Marketing, in order to support a successful full-catalog app launch and ensure the app’s continuous operational management and optimization.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Understand app implementation for assortment catalog; distill pertinent information to appropriate teams and develop new process flows based on learnings
- Develop comprehensive knowledge of all elements of product data, including data source, systems flow and accountable teams for inputs/outputs; track systems changes and downstream implications
- Drive flawless app assortment execution; support app special features
- Translate new app technology enhancements into operational management processes
- Analyze app metrics, customer feedback and other related data to identify trends and recommend go-forward opportunities to improve app experience
- Benchmark competitively on best-in-class app experiences to inform continuous optimization
- Work cross-functionally to relentlessly maintain solid understanding of brand priorities and ever-changing product assortment to deliver outstanding representation on app
Experience, Skills & Knowledge
- BA with strong academic record
- E-commerce experience with proven record managing large product data sets
- Proven operational excellence; process-oriented; passion for identifying and resolving issues large and small, both customer facing and back-end
- Strong analytical skills, specifically to pull, manipulate and interpret large data sets in order to make strategic go-forward recommendations
- Positive, “can-do” attitude; ability to thrive in an ever-changing environment; naturally exude consistent optimism and stay solution oriented through challenges
- Highly motivated self-starter with strong decision making skills and the ability to work with urgency and agility
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Proven experience and passion for working across functions and with senior level leaders, synthesizing multiple points of view and owning a clear action plan
- Customer obsessed, eager to go the extra mile to understand customer behavior and facilitate the customer expereince
- Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to tailor communication style based on audience
- Prior Salesforce Commerce Cloud experience strongly preferred
