Position Overview

Manage and nurture a mutually profitable business relationship in conjunction with Sales Lead supporting the Lauren RTW/Dress business within assigned account base.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

 

Key focus:

  • Interface with Planning team to ensure seasonal assortments meet the business objectives and needs for each account in collaboration with Buyers.
  • Develop and implement financial business plan in conjunction with Sales Lead.
  • Ensure high level of professional and proactive communication with all levels of account management structure to drive business towards plan achievement.
  • Partner with Digital and Retail Development teams to ensure effective execution of merchandising and sales strategy for account leading regular calls with teams to focus on your account's business.
  • Gather, enter, and distribute weekly, monthly and seasonal sales.
  • Collaborate on integrated marketing plans for account.

Business Analysis & Strategy Planning

  • Propose, negotiate, and finalize seasonal sales and receipt plans by account by door in conjunction with Sales Lead
  • Develop seasonal financial flow OTB for each account within parameters of account financial objectives for sales and margin
  • Manage in-season business for account by continuously monitoring sales, stock, and product performance, finding business opportunities and chasing into them with Buying partners.
  • Input data for business analysis (e.g. business reviews, store visit recaps)
  • Digital first focus: visit account websites daily to monitor brand presentation, competitive landscape and find opportunities to further chase into business

Retail Analysis and Assortment Planning

  • Prepare, report and maintain account profiles (by door)
  • Review and advise Account Planning on seasonal assortment plan development for account.
  • Assist in execution of final seasonal assortment plan presentation and confirmation during line opening (Travel required).

Account Management and Communication

  • Lead monthly calls with Retail Development counterparts
  • Schedule, prepare, conduct and document regular business reviews
  • Travel to stores to have an understanding of business needs. Develop quarterly itinerary (manager approved) to visit key markets/doors with focus on reviewing assortment content, market share trends, overall stock issues (incl BSR) and overall retail execution.
  • Support regional account team by reviewing visit findings with account management
  • Partner with Account Services in effective management of monthly shipping/receipt flow and order fulfillment

 

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

  • 2+ years of sales experience. Sportswear and/or Dresses experience preferred. Department store experience essential. 
  • Relationship experience at the Buyer/Planner level within department stores and generally strong relationship-building skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Strong analytical skills and high level of expertise in managing assortments, margins, mark up, sell throughs
  • Knowledge of competitive landscape and brands
  • Proficient in retail math, and Microsoft Office
