Position Overview

We are offering a 12-month internship at our Ralph Lauren Head office located in Watford. The successful candidate will provide integral operational support to the Business Planning team, who are responsible for delivering availability of product, predictability of sales forecast and profitability for the business. The successful candidate should be prepared to travel to the office regularly and be available for a full year from 18th August 202528th August 2026. 


To be eligible for this internship, you should either be needing a year in industry to complete your university or college degree, or you demonstrate a considerable interest in starting your career in the fashion and retail industry.  

 

You must have the right to work in the UK and would need to provide it at the Assessment Day if successful in securing an interview.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Operations/Financial 

 

  • Preparation of Monday morning trade reports for distribution to wider teams 

  • Review of trade report data to highlight opportunities at store level to internal team members, taking initiative to suggest actions/resolutions to support store productivity 

  • Provide support on monthly regional management team calls, documenting required action for follow-up with supporting teams 

  • Update of analysis, report preparation and data entry to support all relevant stakeholders on a weekly and ad-hoc basis 

  • Work closely with key stakeholders to understand store option/unit capacities at brand and total store level to support seasonal intake flow and avoid over stocking 

  • Opportunity to own bigger tasks and projects such as monthly store traffic updates as well as updating our store information booklet 

 

Commercial Awareness 

  • Participate in regular store visits, collating store reports prior and assisting in creating follow up presentations 

  • To understand our competitors and their trading stance feedback any relevant points

  • To adopt a positive and proactive approach to training and development.  

  • Proactively promotes improvements to working practices and systems.  

  • Participates in company initiatives as appropriate. 

 

Communications & Partnerships 

  • Creates and maintains strong working relationship within cross-functional teams: Buying, Allocation, Merch Planning, Retail Planning, RLE and stores teams. 

  • Liaises with all relevant stakeholders to review and assist in the formation of the seasonal lessons learnt, using analysis and historical data to ensure commercial decisions are made.
