Position Overview

Support the product design execution, research and specification for Headwear and Support Heritage Outerwear within classification or brand as defined.

Contribute to market and product research, style specification and materials selection in line with product brief and brand category VLP as directed by team leads and merchandising leads. Provide market and trend research relative to area of expertise in design including functionality, materials, trim, and animation.

Support product definition work and sharing of product attributes to cross functional partners. Support design teamwork in XD templates and maintain accurate digital folders of design boards. Sketch assigned styles with accurate and accessible digital files and folders


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with the Concept Design team, receive inspiration and direction to prepare for the seasonal kickoff.
  • Assist with product research in the market as it pertains to products, trims, and graphic techniques. Create inspiration boards using Adobe XD.
  • Oversee the product from concept right up to production and communicate any changes to the appropriate cross-functional partners.
  • Work with the designer and Lead to create CADs according to design briefs and line plans.
  • Assist in the preparation of all design meetings, track samples and prototypes, and prepare boards/walls for design meetings. Work with teams to adhere to design calendar dates.
  • Upkeep of seasonal design boards and line paginations. Keep the cross-functional team up to date with accurate information.
  • Create seasonal delivery snapshots for seasonal and historical reference.
  • Maintain and update all seasonal digital files and folders & internal library storage of raw materials/trim submits. Ensure trim approvals are up to date in line with the calendar.
  • Organize storage of development samples and market research references in HW & OW closets.
  • Support product knowledge and program hand-offs.
  • Take ownership of building Tech packs - Bill of Materials in Web PLM for Red/Orange pipelines, working closely with the Product Management team.
  • Attend required fittings and partner with design leads & technical teams on garment fits & adjustments. Manage sketch updates and share the latest updates with cross-functional teams.
  • Upload sketches onto Web PLM for B2B and into the Design seasonal design team's folders.
  • Manage graphic & Trims hand-offs: Create clear, informed artwork hand-offs for factories and the Product team.
Work closely with the design leads and Fabric team on Wash/Fabric approvals, ensuring trim and fabric align for samples and stock on all products.  

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

·      Past design or related experience preferred.

·       Proficient in hand sketching and illustration.

·       Excellent organizational, time management and communication skills.

·       Skills to multitask and manage competing calendar deadlines.

·       Affinity and passion for the brand / category.

·       Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Illustrator/ Photoshop and XD.

·       Microsoft Outlook, Teams.

·       3D Design- Lotta/ Browzwear (preferred- training can be offered).

·       Web PLM (preferred- training can be offered).

·       Ai- Discord (preferred- training can be offered).
