Position Overview
Associate Designer – Materials, Handbags and Accessories
Associate Designer for the Lauren brand: eager, artistic designer with material knowledge and experience who can contribute to the design team creatively while helping to maintain and track the ongoing development throughout every season.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and propose new novelty materials and animations
- Set up and maintain seasonal line sheets of material development
- Work closely with Product Development to keep development process moving
- Assist in coordination of materials/colors/animation techniques between Accessories and Footwear
- Assist in coordination of print and color tiebacks with RTW team
- Create logo and seasonal artworks on Illustrator and Photoshop
- CAD and render new materializations and animations
- Assist in meeting prep relating to leathers, materials and animations.
- Develop and maintain hardware library.
Experience, Skills & Knowledge
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in accessory or footwear design
- Knowledge of leather and non-leather materials
- Proficient in Photoshop
- Proficient in Illustrator
- Organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to time manage
