Position Overview
Coordinate, manage and execute the activities of Merchandising for Polo Ralph Lauren Baby. Assist senior leadership in developing, executing and communicating a product strategy that meets or exceeds financial goals and global product strategy.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop Full Price seasonal line plans – creating super season category strategies inclusive of style and SKU plans with a focus on product intention and delivery flow – understanding sales history, top volume drivers, fashion and price tier matrices and new market opportunities.
- Take initiative to lead and support merchandising cross-functional teams to drive process and execute both the brand vision and seasonal business strategies
- Weekly analysis and knowledge of global business performance; partnering with commercial teams to understand needs of regional businesses in Outlet and Full Price.
- Manage seasonal SKU targets and achieve Adoption Rate targets
- Knowledge of competition and trends, identifying new opportunities appropriate for brand.
- Oversee seasonal line maintenance, following and achieving key development milestones through partnership with Merchandising Operations team
- Attend all Design meetings
- Attend weekly status meetings with design, development, and production partners
- Presenting to and educating buyers and commercial merchandising teams about product and seasonal strategies
- Adherence to seasonal calendar dates supporting Outlet and Full Price channels.
Experience, Skills & Knowledge
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills supporting a team environment
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Excellent time management/project skills
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking a must
- Comfortable and confident making effective autonomous (and group) decisions in a timely manner
- Goal and solution oriented: ability to stay focused on creating winning results
- Motivated, flexible, adaptable
- Working knowledge of Retail Math – business terminology, key retail metrics and calculations
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Word/Powerpoint/Outlook, System knowledge of GFE+ & PLM preferred
