Position Overview

Ralph Lauren seeks an experienced Sr. Analyst to join the US Tax department.  The resource will primarily be responsible for supporting the activities related to the US and Canada Indirect taxes and controls environment and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) compliance program.  As a member of the Tax team, this individual will also support India tax compliance in line with the regional tax reporting requirements.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Sales & Use Tax recon and review the computations
  • Sales & Use Tax - coordinate with consulting firm for tax remittances
  • Canada GST recon
  • Canada GST return - coordinate with consulting firm for tax remittances
  • Data submissions - Send sales report
  • Prepare Personal sales reports
  • Prepare Advertising expense report
  • Prepare Sample sales reports
  • Use Tax report
  • CAT Return filing
  • SOX income tax control process
  • Handling various State Auditor data requests and closure of audit points in collaboration with Onshore Tax team

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

    • 5 to 15 Years' work experience in the US tax & compliance domain
    • Retail experience is a plus.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written, along with the ability to influence and demonstrate confidence in communications with senior level management
    • Self-motivated and able to work independently. Able to organize and prioritize tasks, make decisions, and understand when to escalate matters and seek guidance.
    • Able to develop strong working relationships with Accounts payable teams, Management, State auditors, External consultants & cross collaborate with other stakeholders.
    • Able to develop and maintain confidence/trust of all and ensure highest level of confidentiality, integrity, and ethics.
    • Experience with enterprise and financial applications such as SAP, SAP BI, Microstrategy, Ariba
