Position Overview

The Security Support analyst role is responsible for tracking and coordinating various support requests that are placed into the Security Operations Center (SOC) during their respective shift.  The position should ensure these requests are being acted upon in a timely manner while not deviating from already established Ralph Lauren security standards.  The position will also need to act as an escalation point for the L1 team in addition to acting as point of contact for the security team if\when security support is required during P1\P2 incidents.  This position must consider and understand Business processing needs as well as internal and external customer requirements as well as compliance requirements such as PCI and SOX.  The Security Engineering team directly supports and leads all operational security tools and processes related to IT security.  This position must work in conjunction and enhance the CISO's overall organizational security goals.

The Analyst Security Support will report into the Security Support Manager.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Receive and track security support tickets and divvy work as required among L1 team
  • Ensure proper hand off of open issues at end of shift
  • Ensure quality of tickets marked as resolved
  • Document standard operating procedures and recommend solutions\improvement where feasible
  • Assist in troubleshooting security infrastructure platforms when necessary
  • Act as a subject matter expert and point of contact for security support team to other IT functions when required during P1\P2 incidents.

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

  • Thorough understanding of security principles, techniques and protocols
  • Experience with multiple environments and platforms, including Windows platforms, Active Directory, cloud environments, networks and their interrelationship.  
  • Good understanding of one or more Information Security Frameworks (such as CIS, SSAE18, NIST, ISO 27001, PCI, MITRE ATT&CK, …)
  • Multiple years hands-on experience in building and maintaining Security systems required in 4 or more of the following technology domains;
  • Endpoint protection (Anti-malware, Endpoint Detection and Response, …)
  • Network Security (Firewalls, VPN, Secure Gateway, Identity Detection and Prevention, …)
  • Application Security (Web Application Firewalls, Web Application scanning …)
  • Security Monitoring (Security Information Event Management (SIEM), Log collection and management, SOAR …)
  • Identity and Access Management (Privileged Access Management, Single-Sign on, Multi Factor Authentication ...)
  • Data protection (Encryption, Data leakage Protection, …)
  • Cloud based security (Microsoft ATP, Azure or AWS Cloud Security, …) 
  • Ability to effectively multi-task, prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic business environment
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, 
  • Collaboration, communication and presentation skills
  • Experience providing consultation services in the area of technology architecture.
A plus if candidate has:
  • Industry certifications in security and/or privacy, e.g. CISA, CISM, CISSP, IAPP, CEH
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Experience working in a global retail company
