Position Overview

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the software design, development and deployment of Data Power, IIB, IBM Message Queue, (IBM MQ), and Managed File Transfer (MFT). 
  • Write code and document solutions and be responsible for enforcing organizational and operational development standards through governance mechanisms that include the creation, communication and dispensation of integration policies standards and procedures. 
  • Design, (with awareness of integration design patterns), and develop complex EAI and SOA/ESB solutions using Data Power, IBM MQ / IIB.  
  • Additional Data Power development will include developing Multi-Protocol Gateway (MPGW), Web Service Proxy (WSP), and XML Firewall.  
  • Required to recognize and account for all elements to architect, design, build, test, operate and maintain complex systems using Data Power.  
  • Analyze requirements and transform them to solid and standardized broker solutions.  
  • Document requirements, business processes, solution design, functional design, test strategy, and test scripts, all at varying degrees of detail.  
  • Responsible for the full cycle from requirements recognition/analysis, to solution design, and the implementation of designed solutions. 

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or a related technical field and 5 years of experience in the position offered or related performing Datapower development. 

  • Must have 3 years of experience with: IIB/WMB development; XML, XSLT, GatewayScripts, JSON, XPATH; Data Power development, including developing MPGW, WSP, and XML Firewall; Datapower security concepts including AAA, WS-Security, encryption, and digital signatures; Crypto Certificates, Crypto Keys, Crypto Credentials and Crypto Profiles on DataPower appliances; Developing different types of integrations on IIB/WMB, including SOAP Web-Services, Restful Services, MQ based integrations, and WebSphere Adapters; IBM MQ Messaging / FTE-MFT; and Full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). 

  • Telecommuting permitted – must be able to come into office as needed.
