Position Overview
Work in collaboration with merchandise planning and sales to assist in the development, forecasting, and retail delivery of a well-balanced, lifestyle appropriate assortment that provide both volume and margin growth for retail partner(s) and reflects the seasonal RL merchandising vision for the Women's Polo Business.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with key partners to identify and define optimal product strategies and opportunities
- Analyze historical and in-season selling to guide, and action future seasons plans in order to drive product of success metrics (margin, sell-thorugh)
- Assist in developing the seasonal strategies based on product flow and classification percent's by delivery
- Enter and manage customer seasonal bookings entries
- Build product assortments in collaboration with merchandise planning and sales
- Create and maintain weekly product selling reports and provide monthly hindsight analysis
- Report on key deliverables; sell-through, product margin, bookings, class penetrations pre and post market
- Various ad-hoc projects that will require a full understanding of product life cycle
Experience, Skills & Knowledge
* Expertise in demand forecasting and inventory optimization; knowledge of ladder planning a plus
* Excellent critical thinking, presentation, and decision-making skills
* Strong computer and analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy critical; advanced MS Excel (ie pivot tables, v-lookups) required
* Proven ability to develop and implement new tools/processes to improve efficiencies
* Proficiency in retail math
