Responsible for execution of strategic sourcing and category management activities for Supply Chain and Logistics, Packaging, Human Resources and Facilities spend categories. As a part of RLC’s Strategic Sourcing practice, the Sr Manager will lead in facilitating requirements gathering, conducting research and data analysis to facilitate the implementation of value creation opportunities. Manager interacts and works closely with project teams and manages a dedicated procurement team in day to day activities for assigned projects and initiatives. Reports to the Director, Procurement. Experience in people management, Category Management and strategy, analysis, sourcing & procurement for the categories assigned, as well as a desire to learn are essential.

§ Develop category strategy and approach in accordance with overall strategy of Global Procurement including:
§ Development of Category-Specific Strategies for categories assigned
§ Develop and maintain FP&A Partnership specific to categories assigned for accurate savings reporting
§ Development of Key Stakeholder Relationships and ongoing management of said partnership
§ Aligning category strategy to stakeholder prioritization and developing category road map
§ Prioritization and Planning of Strategic Sourcing Initiatives
§ Identification of Global vs Region-Specific Opportunities
§ Management of category procurement team and the team’s subsequent Project Timelines
§ Provide growth opportunities for team members in line with succession planning and employee growth
§ Lead execution of Strategic Sourcing events in accordance with Ralph Lauren sourcing methodology including:
§ Development of Project Baselines and Spend Profiles
§ Development of Category Plans for each category assigned
§ Development of RF(x) Documents and Templates as the relate to the categories assigned
§ Prepare and Lead Vendor Negotiations and support team members as they run theirs
§ Development and Implementation of agreements in conjunction with RL Legal team
§ Provide support for Global Procurement initiatives as required:
§ Spend Analytics and Assessment
§ Procurement Performance Reporting and Savings
§ Procurement Policy and Process Compliance
§ Coordination of Financial Capture of Sourcing Outcomes
§ Supplier Relationship Management
§ Oversight of Strategic Sourcing Analyst team’s day-to-day activities including:
§ Strategic Sourcing Support
§ Category and Vendor Management
§ Financial Analysis and Reporting
§Mentorship and development
Experience, Skills & Knowledge
Required Skills:
- Analytical, influencing, facilitating, team-building, strategic thinking, solution oriented, process-driven, people management
- Knowledge of sourcing & procurement practices & fundamentals
- Ability to influence key stakeholders toward sustainable change even when faced with ambiguity
- Independent achiever & self-starter with commitment to superior quality and accuracy

- Ability to execute under time sensitive deadlines and work effectively dynamic environment
- Highly self-motivated with the ability to drive change in a decentralized organization
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Advanced skills in preparing and delivering presentations required.
- Ability to travel domestically / abroad as needed
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite--Word, Excel, PowerPoint (Project a plus)
- 5+ years of experience in Strategic Sourcing, People Management, Project Management, Financial Analysis / Reporting, and Contract Management required
- 3+ years of Supply Chain Management category-specific Strategic Sourcing experience required
- Experience leading RF(x) events required – experience with Workday/ Scout e-sourcing an asset
- Professional certifications are an asset (APICS, CPIM, NAPM etc.)
- ERP knowledge preferred; SAP/ Ariba experience an asset
