The Designer will support the Senior Polo Women’s handbags, small leather goods, and belts categories, reporting directly to the Design Lead. The Designer will be responsible for developing creative concepts and executing the vision through innovative design and compelling brand storytelling.
職責
-Research shapes, constructions, and details to develop innovative design concepts that are relevant to the Polo woman and seasonal concepts.
-Support preparation for all design meetings and presentations.
-Create design boards to show storytelling, detail and identity research, and sketches.
-Update boards and mockups after design meetings to show design intent and communicate effectively with other teams.
-Create sketches, color-ups, and mockups to communicate design intent to commercial partners.
-Create physical mock-ups and technical specs to thoroughly develop constructions and give clear and accurate direction to the factories.
-Collaborate with raw materials partners to develop new materials and hardware and stay updated on material availability/status.
-Partner with Product Management team to address questions and edits with factory partners. Update material sheets for proto and market sample development.
-Assist with special projects and presentations.
-Follow and understand development calendar and collaborate with cross functional partners to achieve deadlines.
Experience, Skills & Knowledge
-Creative, cooperative, and positive mindset.
-Hands-on approach to design that is grounded in storytelling and innovation.
-Takes initiative and can manage overlapping projects in a dynamic environment. Flexible when projects change and asks questions to understand team goals and problem-solve.
-Excellent communication skills and comfortable building relationships across teams.
-Strong technical knowledge of bag construction, materials, and elevated finishing techniques.
-Professional experience as a leathergoods designer.
-Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Accessories Design, or related field preferred
-Strong Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Microsoft Office skills.
-Must be organized and have keen attention to detail.
