The Assistant Buyer is responsible for supporting the Girls and Baby Buying team in day-to-day functions and managing the lifecycle of the product. As the Assistant Buyer, you will be responsible for maintaining data integrity, supporting the Buyer on seasonal needs, and working closely with multiple cross-functional teams. In this role you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced retail environment while working with a highly collaborative team.

· Critical role needed to support daily functions of running the Girls and Baby business w/ FY26 projected sales of $50M
· Managing full life cycle of product specifically receipt tracking, in season selling, markdown entry and style removal to ensure sales and profitability are protected
· Key support role for buyer in assortment management to drive business to sustainable growth (allowing for deeper dive into opportunity segments of business – Big kids growth, outsized category opps in sets & bottoms)
· Owner of competitive benchmarking to ensure the brand remains relevant in content and price
· Key stakeholder/user in migration to Vibe IQ system and future tools being implemented by IBP
Experience, Skills & Knowledge
· Customer, marketplace and product expert
· High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
· Strong analytical skills and retail math comprehension
· Effective cross-functional communication and presentation skills
· Decision making capability clearly driven by conceptualizing future opportunities and developing strategic product and business initiatives
· Creative, assertive and solution-oriented when faced with difficult business performance and/or challenging directives from the Buyer and Planner
· Prioritize and direct multiple activities
· Highly organized and detail-oriented
