This is an exciting and rare opportunity that has become available in our growing team at Ralph Lauren Australia. As a Financial Planning & Analysis Lead, ANZ you will play a key leadership role for the ANZ market, where you will be responsible for ensuring the financial viewpoint is considered across all touchpoints, and influence business decisions to ensure the Company’s financial and business goals are achieved.

  • Drive the annual budget / LRP process, monthly reporting and forecast process.
  • Consolidate financial planning & reporting and KPIs for the market.
  • Provide insights and analysis to senior management of the business on opportunities, risks of business plans, scenarios planning, and impact on financial performance and outcomes.
  • Ensure high quality, accurate and data driven financial analysis for senior management and Functions' for decision making.
  • Take ownership of financial plans, monitoring of financial targets/KPIs, and related processes.
  • Work with regional/global financial teams to deliver projects and initiatives to streamline the process.
  • Provide leadership to the FP&A; team, and assess team competencies; recruit, retain and develop a team of FP&A; professionals to anticipate growth of the Company. Particular emphasis on succession planning through periodic organization planning review, caring for the career paths of team members, knowledge sharing and coaching of business partnering skills.
  • Develop and report key KPIs for ad-hoc, short- and long-term planning in line with local requirements and global standards.
  • Provide guidance and analysis for continuous process improvement, business case development, target setting and tracking, investment decision, pricing, cost efficiency and other project based or ad-hoc topics.

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, with experience in operating budget accounting, tracking, preparation and management (retail, wholesale and licensing in the apparel industry a plus).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and/or Accounting.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must have high degree of accuracy with a strong attention to detail.
  • Able to work independently with a can-do attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Well organized with an ability to multitask efficiently.
  • Team player possessing a strong work ethic and drive for results.
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and determine effective actions.
  • Ability to think strategically and develop innovative solutions within an entrepreneurial environment
  • Flexible and adaptable – high-change, fast-paced environment.
  • Deals with ambiguity well, understands how to manage matrix reporting lines
  • Strong technical skills – understands US GAAP, controls / compliance, understanding of local tax and regulatory compliance a plus.
  • Oracle / HFM / Essbase experience a plus.
  • Experience with scenario-modelling, building models and putting formalizing high-level concepts to actionable and quantifiable plans.
