Job Purpose

Responsible for end to end creative Planning, brand implementation & elevation execution strategies while maximising sales & profit within 2 stores across the Bicester Centre.

Responsible for the management and training & upskilling of the Brand Image team within Bicester.  Ensure the visual strategy meets the Ralph Lauren Ethos, Alignment to the Regional Visual strategy and supports the long-term growth and profitability of the business. Protects and enhances the image of the Ralph Lauren Brand internally and externally. Reports directly into the Senior Brand Image Manger, keeping them updated regularly on opportunities and wins within their region. Must be able to travel to Bicester village regularly

Key Accountabilities

 

Brand Elevation

-      Ensure that the centre creative execution is delivered the “best in class” to the consumer aligned with the EMEA BI strategy and continues to raise the bar in this flagship location.

-      Enhances the customer journey ensuring both magic & logic are balanced & consider local market & landlord implications.

-      Be a brand expert and protect our brand equity within the centre & outwardly across both internal & external stakeholder groups

 

Project Management

-      Collaborates cross functionally with all stakeholders and keeps them informed on changes affecting centre on a regular basis.

-      Proactively Partner with Buying, planning, allocations, creative to keep abreast of seasonal information affecting the centre.

-      Defines the seasonal project objectives and create the roadmap to deliver the BI implementation strategy for the centre in partnership with line manager.

-      Proactively builds & Nurtures all retail & corporate team relationships that are key to the seasonal launch & success of centre

-      Build relationship with landlord creative partner to impact success of this centre

-      Responsible for identifying challenges within projects which could put it at risk, escalating to line manager.

-      Responsible for providing project hindsight and recommendation reports to improve the elevation of this key flagship location

 

Business Development

-      Responsible for commercial walk through & Identifying brand appropriate commercial opportunities that balance both magic & logic while maintaining the seasonal brand strategy

-      Collaborate & build a trusted 2 way partnership with the Bicester team & management

-      Understanding of seasonal buy strategy, key performance drivers, priority of concepts and how these impact the implementation strategy

-      Understanding of the landlord, landscape, local market and how this impacts the brand

-      Understanding of the P&L of each store, opportunities & space planning metrics to drive the right balance of sales to space mixes and drive regional opportunities.

 

Leadership

-      Set clear goals and inspire the Bicester team to deliver results.

-      Collaborate with line manager to create a working team and environment that allows, creativity, strong work ethic, passion for the Ralph Lauren Brand & enable the team to thrive

-      Challenge others to develop as leaders building robust personal develop plans & while serve as a role model aligned to the RL values.

-      Develop strong and effective business relationships with all Departments.

-      Develop a broad knowledge and understanding of all departments, Be open, Curious & understand others point of view.

-      Conduct employee annual performance & 9 box grid reviews based on competency and goal setting, identifying development opportunities and succession planning.

-      Facilitate regular team and department meetings, ensure two-way dialogue and measure success  

-      Management of regional T&E Forecast & budget in partnership with line manager

 

 

Communication

-      Facilitate and set up effective communication links between all cross functional business partners.

-      Communicate monthly SVR reporting showing best in class Bicester execution to the business

-      Model RL values & create a psychological safe environment for employees to thrive.

-      Support training & upskilling of creative team- hard & soft skills

-      Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

Skills and Experience

-      5 strategic cycles in leading regional/area visual team.

-      Ability to work with agility and under time pressure due to the needs of the business

-      Analytical skills and ability to interpret data and make brand right decisions

-      Natural problem-solver

-      Experienced leadership

-      Strong written and verbal communication skills- natural communicator

-      Ability to influence and elicit cooperation and from a wide variety of resources including senior leadership. Management both horizontally and vertically

-      Capability to manage multiple projects and tasks whilst maintaining a strategic approach & mindset

-      Ability to travel to different store locations along with working evenings, nightshifts etc. depending on the business needs.

-      Ability to use MS Office
