Position Overview
Ralph Lauren is embarking on a multi-year Transformational journey to IBP(Integrated Business Planning) which will reinvent the way we work by leveraging our talent and creativity with the latest innovations, lean processes, data driven & implementing modern technologies.
The Program will consist of COE teams across multiple Functions of Planning mainly Demand Planning/Supply planning/Merchandise Financial Planning along with Assortment Planning & Space Planning . It will be a close collaboration with Data Analytics Team.
This role is responsible for Developing & Supporting the Entire Integration flow assisting Planning team on our Digital Transformation.
Primary focus of this role is centered on managing the Data flow and roll-out of the O9 Application that will connect with Riversand, PLM and SAP (multiple Upstream & Downstream) systems.
The teams will look to leverage key existing technologies at RL in PLM, SAP while implementing potential new SAAS technologies O9.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Review and analyze the data provided by the customer along with its technical/functional intent and interdependencies.
- Data Management: Oversee and manage intricate project tasks, providing insights and directions related to advanced data ingestion, transformation, validation, and publishing
- Engage proactively with functional teams, ensuring a thorough understanding of end-to-end data flows as related to the technical integration.
- Build data Ingress or Egress pipelines, handling huge volume of data and developing data transformation functions using languages such as SSIS, Python, Pyspark, SQL etc.
- Integration of various data sources definitions like Teradata, SAP ERP, SQL Server, Oracle, Sybase, ODBC connectors & Flat Files through API or Batch.
- Production Deployment and Hypercare: Assist with Production Deployment tasks; Assists with triage of issues, testing and identifying root cause; Carry out timely response and resolution of batch automation disruptions, in order to meet customer SLA's with accurate and on-time results.
- Incorporate o9 ways of working and embed the industry standards for smoother project executions.
Experience, Skills & Knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field.
- 3-5 years experience in Data architecture, Data engineering, or a related field, with a strong focus on data modelling, ETL processes, and cloud-based data platforms.
- Hands-on experience with Python, PySpark, SQL languages along with workflow management tools like Airflow, SSIS.
- Experience working with Parquet, JSON, Restful APls, HDFS, Delta Lake and query frameworks like Hive, Presto
- Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases
- Working experience with version control platforms, e.g. GitHub, Azure DevOps & Familiarity with Agile methodology
- Proactive mindset and the right attitude to embrace the agility of learning with Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem solving, collaboration, communication and presentation skills; ability to effectively interact with team members and cross functional partners
- Ability to effectively multi-task, prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic business environment
- Must be self-motivated/self-starter in a fast-paced environment with the ability to work independently and within a team
- Experience working with an Agile methodology is a plus
- Experience with Retail industry and master data is a plus
