Position Overview
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Attend and participate in all merchandising and business related meetings
- Prepare and maintain all tools relative to the assortment planning process
- Assist with projection management from initial pre-planning stage through line opening
- Ensure accuracy of all style information submitted to production/merchandising
- Define items in system to needed brand, season, and delivery
- Develop and update various tools for market prep to be used as selling tool for all account planning and sales meetings
- Various ad-hoc projects that will require a full understanding of product life cycle
Experience, Skills & Knowledge
- 1-2 years of apparel industry experience, preferred
- Ability to be flexible and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- High level of accuracy, detail orientation and organization skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Assertive and solution-oriented when faced with obstacles
- General understanding of customer, marketplace and product
- Basic understanding of the product lifecycle
- Retail Math
- Microsoft Excel / Word / PowerPoint
