Position Overview

The Senior People & Development Associate is responsible for delivering high quality HR generalist support. The role manages the full employee lifecycle, ensures compliance with local employment regulations, and provides timely, accurate HR advisory on day-to-day matters. Strong operational execution, sound judgment in handling diverse employee inquiries and effective HRIS data management are essential. The role also supports employee engagement activities and partners closely with People (HR) Partners to ensure consistent and efficient HR service delivery.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for day-to-day employee HR inquiries, providing timely and accurate guidance, and act as a trusted partner to employees and managers on HR policies, employee relations, and compliance matters.
  • Manage end-to-end onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring compliance with statutory and company requirements.
  • Maintain accurate HRIS data and employee records, and support system enhancements.
  • Support compensation processes, including managing annual salary market data, participating in salary benchmarking, and assisting with compensation reviews.
  • Prepare regular and ad hoc HR reports and analytics (e.g., headcount, turnover, employee survey results) to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Analyze HR data to identify trends and provide insights to People (HR) Partners and business leaders.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition on managing job requisitions, and related data or analysis.
  • Support the planning and execution of employee engagement activities, communication initiatives, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) programs.
  • Ensure all HR activities comply with Hong Kong employment regulations and internal policies.
  • Build collaborative relationships with People (HR) team, ,  Functional Leaders, and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to regional or global projects, initiatives, and ad hoc assignments as required.

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of HR generalist experience in Hong Kong, preferably in a fast‑paced MNC environment. 
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong, hands‑on understanding of the Hong Kong Employment Ordinance, MPF regulations, the Employees’ Compensation Ordinance, and other relevant labor requirements.
  • HR Operations: Proven capability in managing the full employee lifecycle and day‑to‑day HR operations.
  • Problem‑Solving & Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in Cantonese and English (Mandarin advantageous), with the ability to manage sensitive employee matters professionally and confidentially.
  • Analytical & Systems Skills: Strong numerical and analytical ability, with experience interpreting HR data and producing meaningful reports.
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in HRIS administration (e.g., Workday) and MS Office Suite, including advanced Excel (pivot tables, XLOOKUP), PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to prioritize effectively in a demanding environment.
  • Work Style: Self‑motivated, proactive, and collaborative, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Additional Experience: Exposure to experience supporting HR projects or process improvements.
