Position Overview

This position is responsible for all raw materials in the regions they are assigned.  It includes both fabric and trim This position drives development of fabric and trim, procurement (platform and position), and ensuring proper Quality Management Systems.  It also ensures on-time delivery of fabric and trim to enable on-time delivery of product.  From a sourcing perspective, they are expected to work with supplier matrix to ensure the sourcing of mills that can meet quality, cost, and delivery of fabric and trim.   

 

While this position is an individual contributor position, it extensively communicates cross functionally both internal and external.  It reports dotted line to the Business Expansion Raw Material Procurement Lead.  

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

 

  • Regional Raw Materials:  

  • Ensure all raw materials needed are approved in region (to the gold standard) for effective production of units: price, quality, color.  While the focus is on the top 50 fabrics, it is not limited to this  

  • Manage the platforming of greige in partnership with the Business Expansion Team to ensure lead time execution is possible.  

  • Responsible on boarding and exit of Tier 2 suppliers.  

  • Knowledge of macros as it connects to raw material price negotiations.  

  • Tracking of liability fabrics and the financials of said liability. 

  • Supplier partnerships are connected to building teams and trust. 

  • Ensure on-time delivery of all fabrics and trims in the region- escalate as needed.  

  • Responsible for making sure all systems are kept updated as it relates to our financial commitments for fabric and trim.  

  • Partner with Design and PMT as needed to develop to the gold standard to enable regional execution.  

  • Know the Tier 1 and Tier 2 supplier matrix accordingly to drive regional capability and execution of product.  

  • Maintain and ensure RL quality standards are met or exceeded.  

  • Know the Responsible Purchasing Practices guidelines and adhere to ensure a robust and effective Tier 2 supplier matrix.  

  • Follow all processes and procedures as it relates to the product file to drive quality in RL product.  

  • Ensure gold standards are at all suppliers / factories and are being used to meet quality standards.  

  • Drive color approvals in region.  

  • Extensive travel to Tier 2 mills might be required to meet regional needs. 

  • Host supplier meetings in the office as needed.  

  • Stay abreast of technology and standards to drive regional capability. 

  • Weekly status updates in the department and cross functionally are necessary to drive alignment  

  • Constantly drive and develop regional capability with thought on growing the region   


Experience, Skills & Knowledge

Experience 

  • The Leader will have a proven track record of success as a corporate executive in a result-driven organization   

  • Proven senior leadership experience in an international production and sourcing environment in a highly successful Fortune 500 organization preferred

  • Knowledge of internal controls, financial/banking regulations and risk assessment and vendor due diligence. 

  • Substantial knowledge of trade regulations, inventory management, financial analysis, logistics, procurement and distribution, commercial analysis, product integrity, and production cycle timeline 

  • Proven ability to develop and implement new tools and processes to improve efficiency
