Position Overview
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Instrumental in the development of the long-term strategy of the Chaps Licensing Team and accountable for the achievement of the LRP for total area of responsibility
- Builds relationships with the licensees and with key retailers to influence and implement key growth strategies, focusing on maximizing product and distribution opportunities
- Identifies new distribution opportunities and ways to effectively maximize and accelerate existing ones
- Identifies and evaluate additional licensing or sub-licensing opportunities for the brand, both in terms of additional product categories and geographies
- Works collaboratively with design partners (internal and external) and product development teams to develop merchandise strategies, develop line plan, and assort line.
- Oversees strategy, product selection, and process for marketing, advertising, and in store presentation for all categories of business.
- Motivate business partners internally & externally to innovate all product categories and brands in the Ralph Lauren portfolio.
Experience, Skills & Knowledge
- Licensing and business development experience is required
- Strong business development and analytical skills
- Excellent negotiation skills and ability to problem solve and think creatively
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to collect and analyze information, problem-solve, and make decisions
- Knowledgeable in retail math
- Flexibility and open mindedness
- Ability to navigate a complex, matrixed organization
- Ability to work in a fast paced, multicultural and diverse business environment and establish solid interpersonal relationships
- Strong client-service orientation and capacity for cross-functional activities
- Excellent communication skills
- Highly organized
- Proficiency in Outlook, MS Office applications, specifically Excel and Power Point.
