Position Overview

Ralph Lauren seeks an Operations Development & Engineering Manager to lead operational standards & performance data through analysis, structured reporting suite and performance-driven programs to drive process improvement. The successful candidate should have a history of Industrial engineering and a proven influential leadership background. Extensive knowledge of work analysis tools and techniques is preferred

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

§  Lead a team of engineers and reporting coordinators to provide effective leadership through change management, educational guidance and developmental opportunities

§  Lead teams through LMS requirements, identifying areas of improvement & training requirements

§  Plan, organize, and lead the implementation and maintenance of engineered time standards for Fulfillment & Distribution Center activities

§  Partner with Operations Management to identify needs and develop solutions through the collection, analysis, and reporting of operations data

§  Work with Operations Management and Process Teams to identify and document best practices in each operation of the facility

§  Develop and interpret productivity reporting tools for Fulfillment & Distribution Centers

§  Generate new ideas and methods for enhancing process improvement and partner with Operations Management to achieve business results

§  Communicate with all management levels through meetings, feedback sessions, and written communications to ensure the proper exchange of information regarding company and departmental performance, policies and procedures, and employee feedback

§  Lead projects as requested

§  Hours are Monday – Friday 8:00-5:00 or additional hours as needed

§  Minimum of 2 days in the office and more as business needs are required

§  Partners to plan Compass recognition events including eligibility

§  Travel as required


Experience, Skills & Knowledge


§  Prior knowledge and experience with time and motion analysis tools, including time study and time standard development

§  Willingness to spend time on the warehouse floor, working with employees to develop and maintain engineered time standards

§  Previous experience in warehousing/distribution operations including significant planning, analysis, and quantitative experience preferred

§  Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word

§  Knowledge of Microsoft Project is a plus

§  Knowledge of AS/400 systems (i.e. Manhattan Associates WM/PkMS) is a plus

§  Excellent written and verbal communication skills

§  Ability to write and deliver compelling presentations to facility leadership team

§  Ability to communicate with customers across all departments, including external vendors
