Position Overview
The Analyst will assist the Director, Logistics Finance to lead the budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning processes for logistics expenses in NA. The analyst also coordinates month-end closing activities, ensuring alignment with actual results. The analyst’s focus will be on improving the current reporting process, supporting management in controlling expense through analysis, ensuring correct ledger coding of expense and development of strategies for process improvement.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform monthly accounting close & account reconciliation process (e.g. accruals, reclassifications, etc.), ensuring proper entries are recorded by Corporate Accounting
- Create weekly labor performance reporting for Distribution Centers and Customer Contact Center
- Planning & forecasting Logistics expenses and key performance metrics
- Capital expenditure tracking & reporting
- Assist with budgeting, reporting and process improvements.
- Create and review purchase orders
- Key contact to resolve PO & invoice discrepancies
- Performs ad hoc analyses, prepare reports and presentations, and make recommendations to Finance partners.
Experience, Skills & Knowledge
- Advanced PC skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Knowledge and familiarity with retail distribution operations and terminology is a plus.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Large volume data management skills required.
- Flexibility in adjusting and reprioritizing to meet the changing needs in a fast-paced work environment.
- Team player possessing a strong work ethic, objective mindset, and drive for results.
- Strong communications and presentation skills; including the ability to provide written and verbal direction effectively.
- Must be self-motivated/self-starter with the ability to work independently to resolve problems with limited information and direct guidance.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, including deadline-sensitive priorities.
- Cross-functional motivation and influence skills to achieve desired objectives.

- Preferred B.A./B.S. Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting and/or equivalent work experience
- Additional software experience preferred: Hyperion Essbase, SAP, Adaptive Insights, BI tools.
- Retail/Distribution/Manufacturing experience preferred.
