Position Overview
The Head of Employee Experience & Culture, APAC (Head of EXC, APAC) role reports to the Head of Global Employee Experience & Culture and Employee Learning Experience; as well as dual reports into the Head of People Business Partnerships, APAC. This role plays a crucial role in leading and executing how we diagnose and address opportunities to improve the Employee Experience & Culture across APAC.
Driven by data, insights and analytics, this position requires an innovative and strategic leader to activate critical EXC strategies and programs across APAC, that engage our people by augmenting and reengineering routine, eliciting emotion, prompting introspection, and building connection throughout the RL Employee Journey, which includes all phases of the employee experience from Explore, Consider, Begin, Belong, Separate & Reconnect.
The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and partner, both within the EXC team and the broader organization, as well as an agile, strategic, innovative, change agent professional with an enterprise-wide employee-first mindset. By building critical partnership across APAC People Business Partners and APCC business leaders, this role will positively impact the employee experience which will drive retention and engagement across the APAC population; from retail, to supply chain, to corporate.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Critical Success Factors
- Lead with data, acquire essential performance partners and communicate regularly to win, excellence in project management, ability to only work on highest payoff strategies; analytical and creative problem solving, being ultra proactive and stakeholder navigation.
- Driven by data and insights from our global employee surveys and people data insights, this leader will closely partner with Global EXC counterparts on EXC initiatives with a focus improving the employee experience in the short and long term.
- Professional articulation of short-, mid- and long-term goals.
- Have a “pulse” on the organization – understanding how employees think and feel – as well as industry trends and best practices related to employee experience and culture.
Performance Partners
- Partner with Global EXC Strategy Team to strategically identify and diagnose focus areas within the APAC population and partner with Global EXC counterparts to create and innovate action plans and implement through guided collaboration, identify and track data-driven impact, and continue to enhance the employee experience.
- Partner with Global EXC counterparts to co-create concurrent global solutions & resources to address global themes and leverage specific resources to target and address opportunities across multiple APAC populations, each requiring nuanced approach.
- Build partnership across APAC People Business Partners (HR Generalists), as well as APAC-based business leaders to prioritize opportunities to address – based on data and insights –and align on specific actions and measured impact to address the issues and improve the employee experience.

- Employee experience-first mindset, with excellent interpersonal skills across retail, DC, corporate employees, and ability to build trust with leaders and departmental partners.

- Proven track record to build partnerships across the organization.
- Established track record in delivering and innovating high-quality initiatives with tight deadlines, while managing, prioritizing, and handling multiple projects concurrently.
