Position Overview

Reporting to the Senior Sales Manager ECI MW, this role will be in charge of the planning and selling of different departments we have in our MW line.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Account Management

  • Plan Development Strategies for all Accounts under his/her responsibilities
  • P&L Management 
  • Expense Control: T&E, Customer Contributions, Marketing
  • Develop Strategies to maximise sell-thru of product in co ordination with Trade Marketing
  • Meet regularly with the accounts to monitor the business versus agreed plans providing feedback and corrective actions to clients where necessary

Forecasting, Analysis and Reporting : Product and financial

  • Create a by account and country financial and product forecast: monthly, seasonally and annually
  • Understand accounts key sale drivers
  • Interpret and track sales trends
  • Attendance at monthly Forecast meetings
  • Help in the preparation of Fiscal Year Budgets and Business Plans  for Accounts 
  • Provide end of season report, detailing overall financial performance, best and worst sellers, summary of reorders, stock levels, deliveries, returns etc.

Sales

  • Plan and negotiate purchase levels with clients in replenishment and fashion categories at the levels that will achieve agreed objectives.
  • Ensure the collection in store presentation reflects RL brand and style values.

Management of merchandising and in store demonstrators

  • Train and develop the teams in account management, selling and product
  • Utilise the teams to ensure agreed plans are effectively implemented at store level
  • Motivate the teams through management and incentives

New Business

  • Work with Regional Head of Sales to plan targeting of new accounts based on Menswear distribution
  • Negotiate floor space and location of product
  • Manage requirements for fixtures and POS.
  • Set seasonal purchase levels.
  • Initiate new client set up and credit check.

New product input

  • Detailing seasonal competitor and trend reports for the country
  • Identifying market and range gaps for potential new product development

Relationship building with:

  • Marketing 
  • Head Office
  • Buying Directors, Store Managers, Buyers, Forecast team and Supply Chain in Geneva
  • Travelling to Brand Presentations, Business Meetings and store visits required


Experience, Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong Influencing skills required to develop and maintain good relationships with accounts and team members
  • Advocate of the brand and product in the market
  • Ability to deal with fast paced and changing environments
  • Highly organised, detail oriented and accurate
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong communication and analytical skills combined with creative and fashion sensibilities
  • Negotiation and influencing skills

ð Qualifications & experience

  • Educated to degree level preferred but not required
  • Relevant number of years experience in Menswear Sales required with additional experience in Retail fashion environment preferred
  • Computer literate
  • Advance English level
