Position Overview

Support the Department Manager and Lead with specific responsibilities related to Product lifecycle.  Focus on ownership of end to end sample functions and bulk garment deliverables related to execution of calendar adherence and lead times.

   

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

   
Technical Documentation & Systems
- OTB Management: Support Manager with all sourcing allocations, TNAs, OTBs in GFE/PLM. 
- Manage TNA with sourcing offices and CFT, risk access and find solutions. Analyze the information to ensure that timing associated with fabric, production and logistics are in line.Highlighting issues to manager/lead.  
-Employ raw material positioning strategies and optimize post market buys and capacity planning with a focus on top investment core programs.
 
 

Cost Management

-Ensure cost sheets are submitted in PLM & flowing in GFE meeting milestone calendar (Flash/Board Review, Proto, SRS, Bulk).

-Support Manager / Sr. Manager in cost negotiation with sourcing offices, work on cost options. Review with Manager/Lead. Communication must be timely, clear and concise.

-Assist in costing activities based on analysis of past production strategies; provide upfront visibility to component costs that negatively impact margin goals prior to seasonal adoption.
-Cost BOM Snapshot for all non-hko vendors
-GIL, FINAL Cost flag in PLM/GFE
-Support manager on liability utilization and management (O9)
-Chase & Reconciliation/Rebalancing Management: Support Production Team in adhering to Chase, Reconciliation/Rebalancing Playbook calendar milestones.
-Partners with internal and external partners to ensure accuracy in data and timelines are adhered.
-Update chart ie OTBs, delivery communication, cost updates
 
Bulk & SRS PO Creation/Management in GFE/PLM/SAP:
-Manage the showroom sample process (i.e., Lock & export SRS/Bulk units and send GFE download to vendors, ensure PO accuracy for reporting, sample check-in/management). 
-SRS management with sourcing/vendors.  Utilize SRS PODs to review status.  Learn issues and mitigation that may prevent on time arrival.
-Send PIRS & PRS to NY Ops for non-hko vendors
-Create and maintain BOMs and PLM tech packs for Mainline and outlet collections
-Support Lead/Sr.Manager/Manager on development costing for board review, dev stock options, and research of historical body/fabric comps.
-Update and track development information in PLM "Proto Tracker" and Airtable
-BOM Complete management
-Sustainability Ensurance - coordinate with RM team to ensure sustainabiity process is met ie hangtags, documentation, etc.
 
 
Cross-Functional Support
-Maintain communication with internal and external partners for updates on cost/delivery. (Design, PMT, Tech, Merchandising, Regional buyers, Sourcing Offices)
-Builds agendas for CFT meetings (scheduling/agenda/topic). Review with manager/lead prior to meeting.
-Attend and document fittings as needed
-Share & review calendar deadlines with sourcing offices. Follow on adherance to key milestones.
-Manage seasonal calendar, ensure calendar alignment with cross functional teams. 
-Coordinate between Technical Design, Design, RM, and Wash teams for line changes i.e., BOM updates, fitting follow ups to ensure on time approvals to adhere deadlines for on time SRS del/OTB
 
 
PMT Support
-Ensure product is production ready at time of OTB.   Urgency to rework TNA delivery with sourcing & CFT partnerst to solve late OTB challenges.  Proactively communicate with commercial team on late OTB/deliveries.
-Raise challenges and escalate delays & concerns to manager/lead that will impact approvals for on time SRS del and OTB.
-Identify and mitigate production inefficiencies.
-Assist with factory direct managed programs; allocation and capacity planning, order management, solicitation of all production approvals and proactive quality assurance and reinforcement of company and brand protocols.
-Ability to identify risks and highlight major issues to Manager/Lead.
-Pull end of season business analysis and begin to learn analysis of that information.
 
 
Development & Production Support
-Track development (trims, submits, samples, mock-ups) and maintain records till SRS complete
-Track & monitor to ensure submits are sent and received as planned for on time approvals to adhere deadlines for on time SRS del/OTB - ie wash submits, emb, pp, embellishments
-Ensure accurate technical package distribution to vendors.  Adhere to Line Sheet playbook process and monitor manage the date stamp in PLM -> PD complete, Design Handoff
-Support factory communications alongside manager

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

 
  • Direct experience with PLM, SAP, Airtable, and GFE+ experience is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills with detailed attention to products.
  • Excellent ability to communicate and interact with all cross functional teams.
  • Very strong computer and excel skills (Pivot Table, and Vlookup).
  • Must have product development or related experience; full product life cycle, from design vision to production ready utilizing technical product knowledge and in-depth understanding of all product components
  • Proven ability to optimize production outcomes through understanding the garment manufacturing process; factory capabilities, cost negotiation and calendar management
  • Proven ability to quickly pivot and problem solve utilizing innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment
