Position Overview
The candidate’s primary responsibility is to maintain and enhance all finance reporting systems across APAC, which enable a single source of truth. The role is critical to ensure reporting consistency and system integrity, and hence uphold quality and timeliness of financial and operational analysis & reporting to the Asia Leadership team.
S/he not only supports APAC Finance community with in-depth understanding in system linkage & structure and identify area for improvement, but also collaborates with Global Management Reporting team in regular planning activities, reporting standardization and system enhancement projects
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
•Maintain reporting systems (AX, Essbase & FCCS) – include but not limit to system improvement, scripts optimization, access control, master data & alternate hierarchy maintenance
•Understand Financial Reporting such as Closing/Forecasting/Budgeting.
•Investigate and create opportunities in reporting automation and more efficient means of preparation & delivery
•Prepare monthly reconciliation to ensure financial result are aligned across reporting systems within closing timelines
•Ensure quality, accuracy and integrity of information stored in systems, enabling a single source of truth
•Work closely with Global Management Reporting team for all FP&A projects follow up and day-to-day issues
•Provide onboarding & ongoing training to APAC Essbase user community
•Understand business requirement to provide appropriate solutions and suggestions from technical perspective
•Work closely with the FP&A Team to understand issues and concerns from technical standpoint and resolve system issues
•Other ad-hoc work as required
Experience, Skills & Knowledge
Technical Requirements:
•In Depth knowledge on Essbase (OAC):
1.Ability to decode/understand/build/enhance Calc/MaxL Scripts in Essbase
2.Basics on BAT scripts, Powershell is a Plus
3.Understanding of Essbase concepts such as calculation methods, types of dimensions & their usage
4.Perform drill down on dimensions to find issues
5.Knowledge on Security in Essbase (IDCS)
6.Ensure proper data flow from other systems to Essbase
7.Knowledge on Performance enhancing methods for scripts in Essbase
8.Understand Hierarchies from both Financial and Technical perspective
9.Knowledge on FCC is a plus.
10.Knowledge on Basics of Finance is a must.
•Medium to advanced Excel skill set
•Macros/VBA Experience is a plus
Requirements:
•Accounting or Finance or Computer Science / Engineering Degree with 3+ years of related experience
•Team player, self-motivated with the ability to prioritize & manage multiple projects and concurrent deadlines
•Flexible, transformational with continuous improvement mindset
•Detail oriented and experienced in follow-through and completion of projects
•Proficiency with Financial Systems (Essbase, AX & FCCS are assets)
•Fluent in English; excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
•Strong technical skills in Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
•Previous retail or fashion industry experience is a definite advantage
