Position Overview

The Retail Marketing Manager is responsible for building actionable programs to drive retail marketing performance whilst protecting & growing brand value across 60+ Stores in 10+ European Markets.

 This role requires an experienced marketer that can grow RL brand equity for commercial success. The ideal candidate will excel in growing partnerships through strategic planning, be a persuasive communicator & a confident & nurturing team leader.  

The scope covers Ralph Lauren brands and product categories across menswear, womenswear, childrenswear & hospitality. There are four reports into this role with two direct reports at an experienced associate level.

This position is based in London & reports into the Senior Marketing Manager. It requires close & frequent collaboration with the wider Marcom & Commercial teams in London & across Europe.  

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Leadership

  • Co-create & deliver long-term channel vision for elevation, traffic & quality of sales.  
  • Build annual plans & budget aligned with DTC Marcom & commercial objectives.
  • Champion the channel to grow marketing influence across internal & external partners.
  • Establish yourself as the main points person for the day to day running of the channel.
  • Proactively pitch new ideas to grow brand affinity & stimulate trade across existing & new customer groups.

 Partnerships

       ·   Collaborate across all internal stakeholders (Marcom, Buying, Planning,               Creative, Finance, Procurement, Finance, Legal etc.) to enrich & align                   marketing opportunities.

  • Grow brand influence with external partners to ensure RL is in the forefront of opportunities & has biggest share of voice.
  • Create a robust communication cadence across all stakeholders to influence efficiencies, productivity & clarity of information exchange.  

 Team

  • Establish yourself as the team leader for both brand & performance retail marketing functions.
  • Instill a culture of creativity, innovation & growth mind-set.
  • Integrate brand & customer insights in decision making, ensure a culture of test/learn & sharing.

 EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE 

  • You will be a commercial, analytical, organized, dynamic and attentive individual who is adept at relationship building with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Possess a good understanding of the fashion market, brand positioning and marketplace profiles.
  • Proficiency in reading and analyzing data.
  • Excellent presentation skills on PowerPoint.
  • Strong leadership, collaboration and influencing skills.
  • Proven experience of running projects start to finish.
  • Strong organization & communication.
  • Ability to nurture & grow a junior team.

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience in a results driven multi-channel environment
  • Experience of working with, large data sets
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Excellent oral and visual presentation skills
  • Fluency in English language is required
  • Experience of e Fashion/Retail/Omnichannel environment
