Position Overview

 To work in conjunction with key functional areas (merchandising, account planning, sales, sourcing and finance) to assist in the development, forecasting and retail delivery of a well-balanced, lifestyle appropriate assortments that provide both volume and margin growth for our retail partners and reflects the seasonal RL merchandising vision for the Childrenswear WHSL businesses.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

End to End Deliverables

·        Partner with Account Planning on financial plans/annual flow in line with Global development calendar

·        Work with Sales & Planning on account specific strategies

·        Attend and participate in all merchandising and business-related meetings

·        Participate in pre-season merchandising meetings to understand product and global assortment strategies.

·        Manage and communicate changes in the merchandising planning strategy through the season to Account Planning team

·        Demonstrate proactive communication between the Merchandising, Sales, Account Planning and Production teams.

·        Analyze historical and in-season selling to guide and determine classification plans for both Key items and Fashion concepts by account.

·        Prepare and maintain all tools relative to the assortment planning process

·        Ensure accuracy of all style information submitted to production/merchandising

·        Define items in system to needed brand, season and delivery

·        Develop and update various tools for market prep to be used as selling tool for all account planning and sales meetings.

·        Various ad-hoc projects that will require a full understanding of product life cycle

·         

Talent Management

·        Consistently provide feedback and direction to enhance team's skillset and performance as applicable

·        Partner with Head of and Lead to solicit decision support when needed

·        Lead by example, engage and inspire team

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

·        Proficient in all Microsoft Programs i.e. Excel, Powerpoint

·        Excellent Presentation Skills; comfortable presenting to large group 

·        Ability to be flexible and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

·        High level of accuracy, detail orientation and organization skills

·        Strong written and verbal communication skills

·        Assertive and solution-oriented when faced with obstacles

·        General understanding of customer, marketplace and product

·        Understanding of product lifecycle and retail match

·        Previous merchandising/planning experience preferred 

·        Other duties and projects as assigned
