Pay Range: The pay range for this job is $90000 - $192500 annually; actual pay is dependent on experience and geographic location.

Position Overview

The Global People Practices team works to uphold the fair and consistent treatment of all employees, vendors and customers to maintain a positive and respectful workplace culture. Global People Practices works with the People team and managers to protect and uphold our working standards and environment.

The Global People Practices Lead will work primarily in these areas;
  1. Ensuring a consistent and objective approach for workplace concerns around harassment, discrimination and retaliation.
  2. Capability Building:
    • Identify skill gaps, coach and create training to enhance our People Team and Leadership capabilities around the application of policies, workplace investigations and conflict resolution.
    • Serves as an internal consultant for the People team, providing guidance and thought partnership.

The Global People Practices Lead will implement a wide range of activities related to employee relations and ensures resolution through successful coordination with partnership from People & Development, Legal, Global Security, senior business partners, and other subject matter experts. This role works across the organization by providing expert consultation and support on employee relations, performance management, case management, policy development, and progressive work practices. The Global People Practices Lead will conduct and lead complex, high-risk and/or sensitive confidential investigations, and makes recommendations on next steps and appropriate discipline and ensures cases are handled consistently, transparently, in a timely fashion, and in line with Company policies, procedures, and appropriate local and federal law. The Global Practices Lead serves as the primary point of contact for their assigned departments/ employee population, acting as a trusted advisor and coach with key stakeholders. Identifies stated and underlying needs and develops solutions to mitigate areas of concern. Collaborates closely with People centers of excellence to develop policies and practices, advocating for organization-wide People programs that impact and support the enhancement of the employee experience.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Acts as a trusted advisor and coach to the People department. Builds deep understanding and relationships with the assigned departments.
  • Maintains an understanding of business and department objectives of assigning departments.
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations. Understands a variety of risk factors and adjusts course of action to mitigate these risks.
  • Represents and advocates for departmental needs in enterprise -wide program development and implementation.
  • Develop and integrate the delivery of capability building learning and talent development interventions that address current, transition, and future needs.
  • Leads and implement department projects and initiatives.
  • Recommends actions and interventions to People leaders to address gaps between the organization's current HR initiatives and stakeholder and business needs.
  • Evaluates the impact of proposed changes on employees; advise stakeholders on alternatives and change mitigation.
  • Provides Company policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Monitors HR trends and best practices and, in connection with the organization’s strategy, makes recommendations.
  • Interprets metrics and data visualizations (using an understanding of basic statistics) to identify patterns and extract insight where possible.
  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the People team to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
  • Provides exceptional case summaries for the People team and other stakeholders.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Ensure employee handbooks reflect current legal requirements and RL policies.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

  • Advanced level experience in a Business Partner Generalist role in a fast-paced environment required.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
  • Experience in conflict resolution, negotiation and mediation.
  • Capable and confident communication with employees throughout the organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
  • Experience with policy creation and implementation.
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational design, diversity, performance management.
  • Ability to comprehend, analyze and interpret business documents in varying circumstances, effectively provide solutions to unique challenges and respond to sensitive issues, complex inquiries, or complaints.
  • A high degree of attention to detail and excellent organization skills; proficiency at handling high volumes of work and multi-tasking; high degree of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, ability to adjust communication to various stakeholders.
  • Significant experience in project management and data analytics.
  • Role requires high degree of accountability, integrity, initiative, and agility
  • Advanced computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint
  • Ability to work flexible hours outside of local time zone as needed.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
