Position Overview

Support the Lead and Head with specific responsibilities related to Product lifecycle. Focus on ownership and accountability of end-to-

end product development within line architecture.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead / mentor / coach / influence others cross-functionally.

• Subject matter expert in all areas of sweater development – yarns, knitting techniques, yarn mill relationship, etc…

• Attend hand-off meetings with Designer, Technical & raw materials team.

• Ensure accurately and complete information is received from Design for each season hand off.

• Generate Color Palettes for internal use and send color copies to factories/mills indicating CMS Color standards they are to request

through the TDCR.

• Coordinate with fabric and trim development on the sourcing and development time line status of each product’s raw materials.

• Coordinate with Merchandising on accuracy of wholesales and projections.

• Ensure clear and complete tech packages (Images, BOM’s, Product Note Pages) are generated in PLM and sent to vendors for

development.

• Coordinate with Technical Design on priority of technical packages.

• Coordinate with Design on priorities for development and initial requirements and direction.

• Work with overseas partners to deliver sales samples in a timely manner to adhere to line reviews walk through’s, sales meetings

and market openings.

• Lead weekly WIPS meetings with Cross Functional Team (CFT) on development and line status.

• Participate in bi-weekly fittings and ensure Tech Packs are updated with any relevant changes within a 24-48 hour period.

• Ensure PLM tech packages are updated with any relevant changes outlined in bi-weekly add/drop memos from merchandising.

• Oversee tracking charts for workflow execution and timely approvals.

• Secure all yarns needed for first proto including: primary yarns, secondary yarns, rib, etc…

• Generate all stock trim and wash approval charts to be sent immediately post RL walk-throughs.

• Oversee timelines with Design, Fabric and Trim Development to ensure timely approval of fabrics, trims, washes, mock-up’s,

prototypes, etc. from development through to bulk approval.

• Extensive follow-up and communication with manufacturer base and offshore offices during development.

• Work with Fabric & Trim Development area to determine price points for base fabrics and trims.

• Review line with Merchandising & Design to trouble shoot on challenging styles.

• Review fit comments to make sure costing and delivery are not affected by fit changes.

• Attend Line Review with Design & Merchandising to monitor changes that affect pricing and delivery. • Coordinate any R&D related dying/washing, quality, tension, execution needs throughout the product life cycle – proto, sale sample, and stock. • Manage fabric mill card book by keeping updated with all new mill cards created • Manage seasonal program books keeping them updated as submits are approved. • Provide clear, complete, and timely communication to offices and vendor base during development and production approval. • Review final allocation analysis with Lead to determining best allocation balance with manufacturer base. • Coordinate all seasonal style approval for stock with Technical and Design so product can be produced and shipped in a timely manner. • Coordinate with Production team and testing to ensure the final product is handed off for production close out and testing. • Assist with special projects as needed.

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

• Experience in a Sweater manufacturing & sourcing environment.

• Yarn & Knitting knowledge.

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred

• Strong communication, interpersonal, follow-up skills, and presentation skills

• Knowledge of PLM highly preferred or knowledge of the product category

• Preferred knowledge of product category

• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously to help meet team deadlines

• Strong time management skills

• Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Flex PLM, GFE+, SAP, Ariba, Airtable

• Must be self-motivated and ability to adapt to changing business needs.
