Position Overview

The Analyst, Payroll and Connected Retail uses data and analytics to drive operational efficiency and support business growth and results.  The role analyzes customers patterns and store KPI to identify opportunities to drive efficiency.  The role will work with the Retail Operations and Field Leadership team and business partners to establish action plans to convert these opportunities; establishing the optimum payroll mode, improve store KPI's and accelerate Connected Retail business growth.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Support in the development and execution of company Staffing and Scheduling strategy, Ongoing Census and Role Evaluation

Payroll Budget oversight and reporting

Extract and manage larger volumes of various data, identifying trends and linking behaviors, and display the findings in creative and easy to understand charts, tables and presentations

Create exception-based reporting tools and streamline processes

Use labor and payroll analysis tools to further enhance labor scheduling process through creation and implementation of training programs and user materials

Gather/Monitor time standard data to reduce no-sell/non-critical tasks; use store traffic data to improve scheduling and customer service

Respond to payroll and labor system questions and training needs; gather technical issues and partner with appropriate departments to develop solutions

Responsible for commission and bonus compliance; payout and reporting process

Identify and interpret data through software to support the field in executing operational excellence; monitor and report on process compliance issues

Determine root causes of issues within specific processes, software, and technology; track and report progress to set parameters that influence change

Project management; manage tasks for multiple deliverables simultaneously, manage resources, set dates and goals, check progress regularly, maintain project related documents, anticipate obstacles and make the necessary adjustments to ensure on-time delivery in spite of unanticipated problems, work with various teams to find long term solutions, create and provide status reports

Providing the highest level of customer service to the field and home office

Support project implementation and KPI initiatives through facilitation, project management and documentation follow up

Partner with executive field leadership and stores to improve execution of the replenishment process and effective scheduling through management of payroll

Produce monthly/weekly/daily reports to assist the management team enhance and define performance metrics

Manage other projects as assigned to enable Retail Operations overall functionality

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

Experience in payroll management, retail operations, finance or a combination of these

Understanding of retail programs and KPI's

Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience

Ability to analyze data, highlighting any opportunities for improvement

Strong analytical, conceptual and technical skills (excel, access, word, power point, outlook, adobe)

Proven project management skills

Excellent time management skills and ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities successfully

Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of management

Must have a strong sense of urgency with demonstrated ability to work independently and make effective well though out decisions

Experience with process change and process implementation

Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-past changing environment and successful completion of all project task

Preferred retail experience
