Position Overview
Ralph Lauren is seeking a creative and adaptable self-starter to fill the role of Concept Design Assistant for Women’s Polo Design. This position provides support for the Women’s Concept team across concept design, licensee design, brand styling, and special projects.
The position resides within a fast-paced environment where multi-tasking, juggling, and managing several tasks are critical to success. Superior organizational and problem-solving abilities are a must. The candidate should have a strong sense of the Polo Ralph Lauren brand and the Polo Woman.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Sample pulling, management, and returns, including bought and rented samples, design samples, showroom samples, and library samples
- Digital file management, locating selects, organizing team share folder, creating and maintaining multiple forms of file sharing
- Digital and physical presentation support, gathering materials, editing images, assistance with toolkit creation
- Supporting licensee design, attending meetings, following up on resource sharing between design teams, tracking licensee samples
- Maintaining and updating concept print library
- Booking models per design needs
- Booking photographer to document concept presentations
- Printing style out and campaign images for selects process, printing imagery to bring to RL
- Note taking during concept meetings and sharing with attendees
- Sharing digital assets with design teams following presentations and ensuring all team members have access to concept resources
- Preparing for line reviews and style out, supporting space set-up
- Attend line review and look book style out, keep style out garments organized and pull additional styling items as needed
- Researching into concept prompts and pitching ideas to team
Experience, Skills & Knowledge
- Fashion, art, or design background
- Strong understanding of Polo Woman
- High taste level
- Creative thinker
- Exceptional organizational skills, follow through and attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to build and foster effective working relationships with a wide range of personalities.
- Excellent cross-cultural, cross division, cross functional communication and partnering skills
- Detail and solution oriented

- Maintain a fast-paced environment
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, Adobe
- Minimum of three days a week on site/office
