Position Overview

Provide day to day merchandise support to category merchants. Responsible for weekly meeting documentation, milestone meeting material creation, end to end process implementation and sample tracking. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

·       Support and develop Brand Merchandising Product and Assortment strategies from category strategy and line plan creation to design and sku planning through store execution in support of brand Long Range Plan – informed by on-going and methodical market research and collaboration with cross functional partners in Commercial and Design teams.

·       Responsible for all Merchandising cycle milestone meeting preparation, documentation and maintenance with accuracy and adherence to deadlines, inclusive of Design Edits, Adoption, Board Review, Line Review, Line Opening

·       Manage the integrity of all merchandising systems and analytics - Global Front End, VIBE, selling dossiers - through system creation, attribution and accuracy

·       Ownership of sales reporting – analyze and share our weekly recaps identifying key takeaways and learnings to relevant stakeholders

·       Focused analysis on Core and Seasonal sell out and productivity to influence in season sku plans and read/react on style specifics.

·       Track and present competitive and trend relevant information

·       Coordinate and manage sample process, working with cross functional partners to meet organizational needs, ensure go-to-market readiness, sample accuracy and a timely delivery

·       Attend design meetings, as directed by category merchant/manager

·       Present category assortments in milestone meetings, as directed by manager

·       Contribute to a positive, collaborative, solution oriented, progressive and inclusive work environment promoting teamwork

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Strong analytical and retail math skills.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal & teamwork skills.
  • Evident leadership and influencing skills.
  • Highly organized, detail oriented & accurate.
  • Resourceful, efficient, and able to take initiative.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Priority and time management.
  • Computer Skills:  Proficiency in MS Office applications, Retail Math, Adobe applications, MicroStrategy and GFE+ (if applicant has previous experience at Ralph Lauren).
