Position Overview

Working within a multi-functional team in London, this is a pivotal role developing and implementing strategies for Ralph Lauren full price stores across Europe. The scope includes operational marketing activities, events management and retail performance evaluation, with focus on the Luxury lines portfolio and the key European markets UK, France and Italy.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise in luxury marketing, with sound understanding of the high end consumer and a strong sense of brand judgement and customer centricity.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Retail Marketing Management:

  • Drive the Retail marketing strategy across Europe implementing flawless plans
  • Develop commercial & brand sensitive campaigns engaging with all key stakeholders
    (Sales, Buying, Merchandising, PR & Communications, CRM, Customer Insights, Media)
  • Manage Retail marketing department budget per store/ per market / per collection
  • Devise plans for new store openings throughout EU with focus on customer acquisition
  • Develop insights for senior leadership, employing 360 storytelling with advocacy for strategic optimizations
  • Stay current and knowledgeable on new developments, trends, and technologies in the luxury industry

Campaigns & Events Management:

  • Demonstrate the capability to plan, manage, amplify and evaluate complex & fast-moving marketing campaigns and ensure alignment & communication across all teams & stakeholders. Focus lines: Ralph Lauren Collection, Purple Label, Made to Measure and Watches & Jewellery
  • Create elevated in-store brand experiences for customer retention & acquisition
  • For all initiatives, ensure resources are in place, communication is clear, budgets are optimized, projects are managed efficiently and on time and performance is tracked
  • Develop strong internal and external partnerships with a continuous focus on relationship management, fostering new ideas and exploring new opportunities
  • Negotiate with third parties to establish the most effective brand partnerships

Retail Performance monitoring:

  • Monitor the vision for strategic development, growth and optimization of product lines
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify performance optimization tactics
    (Sales, Buying, Planning, Ecom, Customer Insights, Media)
  • Co-monitor sales targets and KPI’s to align with the implementation of the marketing plans
  • Provide analytical reports to senior management including
    sales, traffic, customer and product KPIs looking at per store/ per market / per collection
    and propose optimization action plans on quarterly basis
  • Advance campaign effectiveness through opportunities driven by relevant insights, reaching the high-end customer and brand goals

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

·       Well-versed in all aspects of Marketing and strong understanding of the luxury industry and knowledge of key European markets

·       Depth of marketing experience gained in international consumer goods organisations, preferably with exposure to Fashion/Luxury Retail or Premium brands

·       Outstanding marketing credentials including strategic analysis, brand positioning, communications and a track record of working on multi-channel brand amplifications, including in-store events and digital initiatives

·       Organized, efficient ways of working at all times, managing multiple project progress files & trackers

·       Exemplary written and oral communication skills with experience producing content for presentations, mastery of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint & Excel)

·       Collaborative and proactive attitude with a test-and-learn mentality

·       Can demonstrate good interpersonal and influencing skills
